“I want to see more agents bringing in deaf actors and crew. I hope the game changes in the future.”
BBC's Reunion is fully bilingual, with deaf cast and crew making it authentic and full of nuance. There's lots to learn from this positive inclusion 👇

"A game-changing watch", "Ambitious and timely", "Devastating". Just some of the great reviews for new drama #Reunion which launches today @BBCOne and @BBCiPlayer

Ha! 5 years of photography, multiple important topics covered, yet it’s the photo of my Boxing Day dinner that gets news attention. 😂

@Morrisons DM’d. Not much that you can make right, Christmas was yesterday & it sounds extreme, but having no food for Xmas dinner ruined the day for us as it’s the thing we look forward to the most.
Couldn’t even make do with a ham sandwich because that was in the cancelled order too!
@sam_sam79@Morrisons My entire order, that was ordered early October, was cancelled 2 minutes before all the supermarkets closed, so no chance to find replacements. No contact to say it’d been cancelled either, found out by checking the website. Dunno what we will eat as have nothing in.
@Morrisons You cancelled our entire Christmas dinner order that was booked when the pre-booking opened months ago.
You didn’t even contact us, we checked the website, saw the whole order had been cancelled & it’s now too late to go another store to try & rescue Xmas dinner.
Thanks, not!🤬
The Prime Minister should make a statement to Parliament, immediately, to confirm whether UK missiles have been fired into Russia.
He must tell the British public if this means we are now at war with a nuclear power, what risk this poses to people in Britain, and why this action was taken without any approval from Parliament.
I have consistently condemned Russia for its invasion of Ukraine and called for a diplomatic solution to stop the endless bloodshed.
As we edge closer and closer to catastrophe, we should be doing everything in our power to bring about de-escalation and peace. Instead, our political leaders have added fuel to the fire and gambled with people’s lives for political gain.
Presidents and Prime Ministers must know that in the event of nuclear war, nobody wins.
I’m not interested in bombs. I’m interested in peace – and I will continue to campaign for peace in Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, Sudan, the DRC and beyond.
“We’re talking about coercion almost on a state level.”
@thelizcarr argues that legalising assisted dying risks giving disabled, terminally ill and elderly people who ‘feel like they are a burden’ the impression that they have ‘no choice’ but to end their lives.

How it goes at my GP
- you can’t get an appointment in advance
- you have to call at 8am on the day and it is busy
- by the time you get through all appts have gone
- you are told to call back
- your situation worsens; call back result is the same each day
- you end up at A&E 🤷♀️
Most able bodied people aren’t afraid of becoming disabled because they believe the system will support them. That doctors will work night and day to figure out what’s wrong when they’ll most likely tell you it’s just anxiety.
You “support disabled people” until a disabled person’s accommodations are a tiny bit inconvenient for you. Then, it’s too much effort to be accessible.
You don’t support disabled people.
