@jadeelit27 @wmst287 I believe she means that those who stay in a bad relationship will never have the power of will to be happy in life because they do not have the nerves to stand up and get away from the relationship they hate.
@Alia_8_ @wmst287 I would describe him as self-absorbed, but also, a lot of his actions are suspicious. It is hard to get a good read on him as we don't really know his true intentions

@Kayla12566468@wmst287 I believe so, I feel that Belmont's acceptance of the idea that Evelina is his daughter and their reconciliation is satisfying knowing that Evelina now knows that connection in her life.
@wmst287 It seems as if he doesn't actually love Madame Duvall and is just there for her money and then confesses his love to Evelina, which Madame Duvall then walks in on.
@cma2418 @wmst287 I feel like he is one of the better influences on Evelina, and while it may not always be apparent, he is one of the only people who really have her best interests at mind.

@wmst287 I don't necessarily think he fear is exaggerated based on the circumstance she was put in, and anything Sir Clement says, she most likely takes with a grain of salt based on previous questionable things he has said
@HannahWMST287@wmst287 While I wouldn't say they are absolutely necessary, they are helpful, at least for me. Any additional narrative can help to understand certain actions or background that can be useful in terms of the grander narrative.
