@thelionmachine Yeah, the man my mother married being a child rapist and him beating her and psychologically torturing her — none of that is excused by the fact that his parents were abusive and unloving. He continues to choose to perpetuate inexcusable harm in this world.

I personally think we dnt talk about ppl who take advantage of emotional situations to get sex. Going to “console” someone because you know they’ll be more likely to have sex with you is also sexual assault.

@keoraborealis Did this last year and the only problem was that my cats wanted to attack it, try to eat it, and inevitable would knock it about and get dirt everywhere. So finally gave up and moved it outside. Still in a medium sized pot and doing well though.

@AlexysMonoson I am haunted by what my MIL looked like after a month on a vent with COVID. She was completely unrecognizable. It was so much worse than anything I’d seen - either in media accounts of other covid patients or when I lost my dad to cancer, which drastically changed his appearance.
