@nasser_Ug1@PoliceUg@mkituuma@M_Kananura Man,I stopped passing through center of kampala because of that city square blockage. Police is untouchable in Uganda, above the law
@SarahBireete Most of those you list; like NGO funds, Fuel prices, foreign currency inflows, etc, etc, are what we call secondary causes, or Symptomstic triggers. What determines the long-term health of the economy is to deal with the STRUCTURAL FOUNDATION. If you don't get this right, fixing the Symptomatic triggers only produces TEMPORARY RELIEF. The STRUCTURAL FOUNDATION includes the things I listed: Fixing the Fiscal displine which we see getting increasingly degraded especially because of politics& corruption. The other is the heavy DEBT BURDEN- needing debt control....Then the other is the INSTITUTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY, etc. This is where Corruption comes in. And the other STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION to deal with Industrialization, dealing with our importing Toilet Papers& Toothpicks & Toothpaste....and Milk and Mangos 🥭......
So, as long as FOUNDATIONAL BOTTLENECKS remain unresolved, it is a waste of time trying to address the Symptomatic causes. In fact in Development Economics, they call this: "TINKERING AT THE MARGIN"!
When symptoms persist.
Wamala J distinguishes abductions from arrest. Also rules on detainee’s right to be held in a gazetted place, to see relatives, doctor, lawyer, and be produced in court in 48 hours. @mkituuma@UHRC_UGANDA.

🚨 First interview of Smit Machchhar, where he explained everything that happened inside the cabin.
- His Muslim co pilot asked him to pray (Namaz), as many co-pilots do.
- He went to the back side of the cabin, and Smit took full control of the plane.
- After 5 minutes, Smit felt a huge blow to his head. He thought it was a mechanical failure, but when he turned around, he saw the Muslim co pilot with some kind of rod.
- The Muslim co-pilot delivered blow after blow, and Smit almost lost consciousness.
- He tried to open the door, but the Muslim pilot pushed him back and struck him again.
- Then the Muslim pilot took control of the plane, and the plane shifted from auto cruising and started nose diving.
- The crew and passengers felt the plane nose diving, and everyone was trying to open the cabin door.
- Captain Smit was lying in the cabin, with no consciousness left in him.
- He gathered all his courage and told him that if this continued, he and all the passengers were going to die.
- He put all his energy into it and somehow grabbed the handle. He unlocked the handle instantly.
- After that, passengers saw Smit lying on the ground with blood all over him, while the Muslim pilot was shouting, “Allah Hu Akbar.”
- They all pushed Muslim Co Pilot back, and the other pilot on the flight took over the plane. They safely landed in Saudi Arabia.
Now Captain Smit Machchhar has been invited to the Independence Day parade in Israel.
What a hero. Salute to his bravery. 🫡
