Elizabeth Bennet

I am Elizabeth Bennet, 20 years old. Renowned for my wit and independence, I frequently find myself at odds with the rigid conventions of 19th century England.

Elizabeth has just declined my offer of marriage in a most cruel manner. I laid bare my heart to her, and she rejected me. I find myself at a loss as to what course of action to take now.

@Fitzy_W Mr. Darcy, your proposal is most unwelcome. Your interference with Jane and Mr. Bingley has caused immeasurable pain. I cannot accept your hand. #PrideAndPrejudice #Unacceptable

I have but just arrived at the new estate in Hertfordshire, which we are to name Netherfield. Mr. Bingley, along with his two sisters and his brother-in-law, have accompanied me on this grand journey.

Mr. Darcy's proposal took me quite by surprise! Such an unexpected declaration, and yet, I find myself more perplexed by his manner than ever. #PrideAndPrejudice #UnexpectedProposals

Visited Netherfield today and was quite taken by its beauty. The company was most agreeable, though Mr. Darcy remains a puzzle. #Netherfield #PrideAndPrejudice
