BritNat hacks at Holyrood who've been stripped of their roaming privileges are claiming they're being prevented from doing their job as journalists. This is akin to a heckler claiming to be a theatre critic after being thrown out.
These hacks have agendas and it isn't to inform. They are there to obtain the reaction their editor requires and will harass and provoke mainly SNP MSPs to get it.
This is the kind of exaggerated tabloid junk that has led to an erosion of trust in the BBC.
Murrell stealing money from the SNP isn't a 'hugely significant moment in the history of devolution' anymore than Labour MSP Mike Watson [now a Lord] being convicted of arson in 2005 was or the Labour embezzler in 2004 was.
Murrell had a higher profile due to his marriage, that can't be denied, but to describe it the way O'Hare has is just laughable.
Here's Anas Sarwar saying it would be untenable for the SNP to impose an unelected FM on Scotland. Presumably the motormouth feels the same way should Starmer step down.
@ScotTories@DLumsden_MSP How the hell can the Tories who have reduced the north sea sector to a fraction of what it was and oversaw the loss of 70,000 jobs and a massive reduction in investment, claim to be the saviours! Voters are being gaslight by those who caused an energy crisis
@Record_Politics Why do you print bare-faced lies when you must already know that the SNP, and Greens, last week voted FOR a broader and more extensiveenquiry into party (and wee branch offices) funding? Don't you pay any attention to politics? 🙄
@paulhutcheon@IanJohn47976156 John Swinney is absolutely right. A Commons "Committee Inquiry " seeking to by pass a Holyrood Parliament decision would destroy the credibility of the Scottish Affairs Committee and it's Labour Convener.
"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." (Napoleon).
@SirTomHunter In all embezzlement cases assets are frozen. It will be repaid once they are released. It was stated in court that he will be repaying everything, let's not stir up trouble. Maybe if you want to be useful chase up lost billions during covid. Mone for one
@ScotTories Greens suggesting independent inquiry into ALL parties in amendment to debate. For the sake of transparency you will of course vote for that amendment. With Westminster getting involved it would of course allow for the investigation of UK parties in power in London.
@Dennynews Where to start with this base ignorance? Murrell was entitled to access legal aid the moment his assets were frozen, the same as any other person facing criminal charges. At the conclusion of the court proceedings, the assets will be unfrozen and therefore the legal aid refunded.
@paulhutcheon "box office" hearings!!
Glad you've finally admitted to what you & all the other unionist media hacks, MPs, MSPs & commentators are really after, trying to get one over on the SNP & being able to grandstand it like some sort of colonial triumph!
@paulhutcheon ‘Box office hearings’. This is what it’s really about. The BritNats want a show trial to smear the SNP, who are the victims of the theft of party funds by an employee. Scotland will see through this smear campaign from the corrupt British press and the Yoon parties’ nodding dogs.
A complaint has been lodged with the BBC after James Cook claimed the SNP's auditors resigning was a warning sign that there was something awry with the party's finances.
The auditors confirmed the resignation had nothing to do with the party's finances or the police probe.
Received email from SNP, which goes into full depth the measures put in place since Murrel embezzlement, from thier own internal investigation thats been ongoing since Murrell arrest. I am now reassured with the measures in place to ensure this will never happen again. @theSNP
MURRELL EMBEZZLEMENT CASE..
The people who are shouting the loudest..
Are the ones who are NOT SNP Members or donated ANY funds to the SNP.
WHY don’t they shout from the rooftops about the £bns of fraud from Westminster Parties?
@paulbsinclair Has there been proven misuse of taxpayers cash? No. The PO is therefore quite correct to avoid another feeding frenzy of bandwagon jumpers and no hopers trying to get their moment of glory in front of the TV camera. There’s been shortage of them this last week.
If the last week has shown us anything it is that the English are absolutely terrified of losing #Scotland, because #Wales & NI will follow. The English media pile on towards NS is showing the true colours of many.
@AndrewJQuinn97 When is Westminster going after the people that ‘took’ billions from the UK Taxpayer during COVID??? Or investigating those that bought up land & properties on the HS2 route????
@AndrewJQuinn97 Ah Jack the former First Minister who gave £1.5bn back to Westminster instead of spending it in Scotland. Then became a Lord. That Jack? How about an inquiry into his conduct?
@AndrewBowie_MP I’ve donated for years, I’m not interested in any further enquiries.
The crown have done their work.
He’s going to jail.
It’s time to move on.
This is now just a futile attempt at political point scoring.
