Does anyone have any suggestions of online music software, gaming applications, or websites appropriate for students with special needs or different learning disabilities? Any help would be appreciated! 😀 #UFMUE
Feeling bittersweet but also thankful emotions as I finish up my last week of Technology Assisted Learning, my first course in the @UFOnlineMME Program at @uflorida! How are everyones’ ePortfolios and WebQuests going? #UFMUE
If anyone is looking for a new way to spice up their slideshows, I discovered the websites Slidesgo and Slidesmania with hundreds of slide templates! There are a handful of music-specific slides, and others you can change! 😀🎶 #UFMUE
Google Suite can be your best friend and your worst enemy. I have used Google Classroom for a few years and overall, really enjoy it! However, how do you all as teachers handle students who don’t do the work and just hit the “submit” button? #UFMUE
High school Band teachers: What are some creative and thought-provoking assignments you have given to your students who are 100% online that are not performance based? #UFMUE
This week for an online assignment, I had my students listen to and reflect on this fantastic and inspiring TEDTalk by Michael Tilson Thomas called Music and Emotion Through Time. Each time I listen to this, I get musically inspired!🎶 https://t.co/hXRmQk0djM via @YouTube#UFMUE
@Ms_S_music I can send you some if you’d like Amanda! With this past weeks assignment, I feel like we did a lot of internet digging for resources! Haha.
@lizziemott I also use Google Forms to create questions for my students to respond to as they are listening to the song/piece of music each time they come to class!
@lizziemott Hi Elizabeth! I have my students create a “Journal” using Google Doc’s that they share with just me. Each week, we listen to different pieces of music and they answer various questions about musical concepts, their opinions of the piece, and other things!
Do any of you music educators use SoundCloud for educational purposes? With your students perhaps? I enjoy listening to music on it for my own personal use, but am not sure how I could use it school-appropriately with my students. Any advice would be appreciated. 😀 #UFMUE#music
Just got back all of my middle school students Incredibox compositions and they are AWESOME! Thank you to @UFOnlineMME for introducing this incredible an innovative program! #UFMUE#generalmusic#middleschool#Incredibox
I am VERY excited that we are working with @Spotify this week. Not only is it my favorite (and only used) app, but after using it with my Music Theory students last year, I’m intrigued to learn about new ways I can use it in the classroom! #UFMUE
Audacity is a fabulous program! Finding a lot of value and opportunity for musical enrichment and creativity with my students. It was a little complicated to use at first, but I’m happy @UFOnlineMME introduced it to my colleagues and I! #UFMUE
Music educators: What are some of the ways you are engaging your students online? What assignments/activities are you having them do? Any using technology? Apps? Would love some new ideas! #UFMUE#hybrid#remotelearning#teacher#technology
