A column in which I try and convince Taylor Swift to hold her wedding in a cultural hall, and a column with a comment section I am too scared to read https://t.co/IFhyV3wTGs
I was helping my mom get into her nightgown earlier. When we were done, she thanked me for being patient with her.
I said “You’re welcome.”
A minute later she turned to me and said “Do you know my son Paul?”
I said “Yes. I hear he’s a really good guy.”
Without missing a beat she smiled and said
“He has his moments.” 🤣🤣
I'm not here to critique the Latter Day Saints. They are lovely people and twitter is a poor place to talk about theology
But I do 100% believe they were ground zero for all the crazy baby names we have today and there needs to be SOME accountability

Latter-day Saints are among the most patriotic, service-oriented individuals in our country. They are also unequivocally Christian—just look at who is in the name of the Church.
It is unacceptable for a government entity to characterize a faith in a manner that contradicts the religion’s own foundational tenets. I am working now to ensure a correction is made.
I often think about how much hope I have in the rising generation of kids in our area. Let me explain.
Our oldest son has disabilities and attends a special needs class at the local high school.
A few weeks ago, his class held a talent show. I sat in the auditorium with a few hundred mainstream students to enjoy the show. As the talent show progressed, I was first struck by how brave the students with disabilities are. They were undaunted as they stood on stage presenting their talents.
Then I was touched by the high school kids in the seats. They were beyond excited for those on stage. They clapped and cheered like it was the most impressive show they had ever seen. How cool! Those students could have been bored and harsh, but instead they were encouraging and supportive.
I see the way our son is treated by his peers, and I cannot help but think they are going to do very well in the future. They are incredibly kind to him.
One of my favorite things to do each year is read the messages students write in his yearbook. Comments like, "You are amazing! I enjoyed getting to know you," and "I loved being your peer tutor" fill the pages. Others wrote, "You always put a smile on my face," and "You are the GOAT."
One comment especially stood out to me: "You taught me more about the love of God than anyone else."
To me, those words are a reminder that there are a lot of good young people in the world. If these are the kinds of kids who will soon be leading our communities, raising families, and serving others, then I have every reason to be hopeful.
