Use case thesis: Tokenized Pension Fund Custody (30+ Year Horizon)
Pension funds manage capital across 20 to 40-year horizons—longer than most blockchains have even existed. If they tokenize real-world assets (bonds, equities), quantum threats aren't hypothetical; they are an active actuarial risk within the product's lifespan.
Here is why @KdaCed is realistically the only viable L1 option for this today:
Implemented & testable Post-Quantum Cryptography (SLH-DSA, FIPS-205, backward-compatible q:/x: accounts). No major L1 (Ethereum, Solana, Move chains) offers this natively today. For a 30-year financial product, this is an indispensable structural requirement, not a marketing gimmick.
Native Formal Verification for fund rules: Withdrawal conditions, exposure limits, multi-party approvals expressed as mathematically proven properties - not just "code audited, looks good."
Granular Governance Capabilities: Managers, custodians, auditors, and beneficiaries each get scoped, verifiable authority without single points of failure.
Cross-chain coordination without external bridges: Smart Pacts execute cross-chain state natively - eliminating bridge exploit risks, which are unacceptable for pension products.
Gas Stations for seamless UX: Beneficiaries claim or receive funds without touching gas tokens or wallet complexities. It operates like a standard bank transfer.
1.75M $KDA costs $9,000 today.
In 2021, that same bag was $50,000,000.
Same token. 5,000x gap. But today the tech is post-quantum ready, AI-integrated, and vastly superior to 2021.
The disconnect between fundamentals and price has never been this broken.
The repricing can will be violent.
The optionality at these levels is absurd.

🚨Kadena (KDA) News – June / July / August 2026🚨
The $KDA #Community#Edition team continues to drive #development of the #network.
June 2026
Completed a major OTC deal with Binance: the community purchased 37 million KDA at $0.0015 each.
20% distributed immediately, 80% locked in a Pact smart contract with a 3-year linear vesting schedule (tokens arrived on June 19).
The raise exceeded the target by 50%, removing significant sell pressure from the market.
New developer tools launched (June 11): pact-mcp and github-marketplace.
July 2026
Released Chainweb Node v3.2 (changelog dated July 10): upgrade to Pact 5.4.1, new Testnet, fork management via ForkNumbers, security and resiliency improvements, and SPV database size reduction.
August 2026
August 2: Official announcement that Chainweb Community v3.2 is live. Includes a new gas model (post-quantum readiness), multiple security fixes, and the live Fork Monitor (https://t.co/1PPftdO57G) to track on-chain miner voting.
Introduced on-chain miner voting (requires 2/3 support to activate hard forks).
August 11: Community push to increase #liquidity in the KDA/USDT pool on @coinexcom.
August 17: Upgrade reminder – #fork support already at 73.1%, activation expected around August 18 ~15:00 UTC.
August 18: Confirmation that non-node operators need to take no action + new article “Anatomy of a Kadena Transaction” → https://t.co/XLPI99NZeT
The PoW network continues running smoothly, with active GitHub development focused on tools, security, and decentralized governance.

Honestly, I was caught off guard too. What I chose to do was stay involved and help amplify the people who kept building after the transition, rather than walking away.
And what surprised me is how much has actually been achieved with almost no resources: the community has kept Pact alive, pushed it into the AI development world, made the network post-quantum ready, and continued improving Chainweb.
My recommendation would be to look at this less as a dead project that needs to be revived, and more as a very strong piece of technology that suddenly lost its institutional support — while the people who believe in the technology are still here.
I think the real opportunity now is to give those people a direction, visibility and a reason for serious builders to pay attention again.
Hi Scott and @StuartHaber 👋
Thanks for reaching out. We completely understand the uncertainty — the transition caught many of us off guard too. But here's what we've done: we kept building.
The KDA Community Edition is now more active than ever. GitHub activity is thriving, new tools and infrastructure are shipping regularly, and the community is rallying around the tech that brought us all here in the first place.
This is how blockchains were always meant to be built — by the community, for the community. No single entity, no corporate overhead — just builders, miners, and believers pushing forward together.
We'd love for you both to stay closer to what's happening. Here's where you can find us:

We're just getting started. 🚀
