@ricardo_sa71901@GinaK1983@RpsAgainstTrump Please no name calling. This person clearly can’t afford a dictionary, a history book and probably slept through middle school and high school. She deserves some pity.

BREAKING: Senator Tammy Baldwin rips into Pete Hegseth for wasting time by renaming the ship named after gay rights activist Harvey Milk during Pride Month instead of doing his job as Defense Secretary.
This kind of bigoted rubbish plays well with the MAGA base but the rest of us see right through it...
"I think we can all agree that we are at a critical point in our history with respect to global threats, the need to counter adversaries like China and Iran — you’ve gotten a number of questions along those lines — and I’m disappointed that you are instead focusing on a class of ships named for civil rights leaders," Baldwin said during a hearing of the Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee.
"This committee will continue to pursue serious work in the interests of American national security, and I ask you to choose to join us in that endeavor,” she added.
Hegseth ordered that the USNR Harvey Milk be stripped of its name and may soon rename vessels named after Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Harriet Tubman.
Hegseth defensively claimed that the Pentagon under his leadership is "not interested in naming ships after activists" and "that’s the stance we’re taking."
Of course, nobody was asking him to name the ship after an activist, it had already been named. What Hegseth did was waste time on renaming the ship again to signal to Republican voters, specifically Evangelicals, that the Trump administration does not support the LGBTQ community.
Senator Baldwin, who is openly gay, also grilled Hegseth over the administration's efforts to rid the U.S. military of transgender service members. The move makes our nation weaker and less equipped to combat our adversaries while doing nothing to improve readiness.
"The department is planning to separate several 1,000 service members due to your partisan beliefs about troops who are transgender," said Baldwin. "Mr. Secretary, I’ve seen your speeches and social media posts, but what I’m interested in is the sound policy analysis that we would expect from the Secretary of Defense and how this misguided decision will impact military readiness."
"We did extensive analysis," claimed Hegseth without providing evidence of the alleged analysis. "We agree with the assessment of the executive order that was issued by the White House that there are mental health issues associated with gender dysphoria that complicate military service and readiness, and as a result, we made the decision."
Baldwin asked for him to provide the analysis to her and the committee but Hegseth, not surprisingly, did not have it readily available. He claimed that he would provide it in the future.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you stand with the LGBTQ community against MAGA!
