Derbyshire firefighters have now left the scene of the derelict building fire on Heanor Road in Ilkeston.

Final crews left at 15:08 hours and Heanor Road has now re-opened.

The joint police and fire investigation is ongoing.

No further information is available.

Emergency services remain at the scene of a derelict building fire on Heanor Road, Ilkeston with operations continuing throughout the day.

Heanor Road is closed and local diversions are in place. Schools, businesses and other buildings are unaffected.

We currently have six fire engines at a disused building fire on Heanor Road in Ilkeston.

This applies: 5am Wednesday 10 June until 11pm on Monday 15 June 2026.
