@Dan_Christofer @basedtradcat @LauraKlassen14 Some people go genetic testing to ensure that they don't try to use an embryo with a fatal condition, like trisomy 15, a condition that causes the baby to miscary before being born. In that case they do choose but only for the purpose of having a living child.
@Dan_Christofer @basedtradcat @LauraKlassen14 They can then freeze the others to use to have another baby or to try again if the first try did not result in a pregnancy or live birth.
@Dan_Christofer @basedtradcat @LauraKlassen14 Those who are lucky enough to have a few embryos typically only use one at a time so they have to just pick one to start with and they pick the one that looks like it has the best chance to make a live birth.
@Dan_Christofer @basedtradcat @LauraKlassen14 Once transferred the hope is that the embryo attaches to the uterine lining. There are things that make an embryo more or less likely to implant such as hatching or having the typical number of cells and even division. Those are most like to be chosen of there are several.
Something I’ve always struggled to try to explain to able-bodied friends is the need to “perform” pain to be taken seriously by healthcare workers.
So I thought I’d do a thread on it...

@sosaidvictoria I've thought you were gorgeous from the moment I met you (back when we worked at the mall). One of my first thoughts was "Ugh, shes soooo pretty!"
For the next 15 minutes, in this house, nobody better pee, poop, vomit or make any messes elsewise! That's all I ask...FIFTEEN MINUTES! #momlife#toomanymesses#sendhelp#please
