@melsmedicines It’s disgraceful, it is higher than the NHS payrise. Atleast other healthcare bodies protect their registrants pharmacist have to pay for separate insurance. We are in a staffing crisis no one want to work in pharmacy increasing costs will not encourage people to stay registered

@melsmedicines It works well,implemented in Scotland for years don’t understand why everyone fussing about it. All healthcare professionals appreciate the input and help with treatment of minor infections. Have seen gp refer patient to pharmacy for these PGD then gp’s can see more sick patients

@melsmedicines Scotland is ahead of the game. I have given antibiotics via community pharmacy for uti for years, also do other services for shingles, impetigo, infected bites and cellulitis. It works well and has the appropriate safety nets so that if a patient needs to be seen they are referre

@TohidMPharm @Tesco @LloydsPharmacy Yes, this is the second time it has happened. The first time I got an email saying operational issues ? I didn’t even get any explanation this time. It’s a quiet shop so I wasn’t sure if they are using these closures to close quiet shops on Saturdays.

@grhughes89 @jadore_sucre @melsmedicines £50ph is not a ridiculous rate for a self employed pharmacist. That rate doesn’t include tax, expenses, sick days or any time off. Think owners forget this.
