Yea this is crime against football.

The game you know and love has been lost within probably a week.

A fluid game destroyed by control.

-Red cards for putting a hand over your mouth

-Slowing down video to make tackles look like murders

-Offsides tech so that a fingernail means you're offisides

-Some teams get yellows retroactively for diving, while others don't

-Random tech never used before shows a blip in a graph and disallows a goal.

-Obvious pk's not even looked at and ignored by VAR.

-Forced water breaks for ads.

The game can be manipulated in an infinite amount of ways now.

VAR was established to prevent egregious human errors in things like offsides, possible pks, or red cards for missed things the ref couldn't see. That's it.

It now corrupts and manipulates the game in anyway they want. All restrictions gone. They used to say there wasn't clear evidence to disallow a goal, pk or change a decision. Now a "sensor" in the ball somehow can tell if a hair touches it to disallow a goal?

Yea FIFA is more corrupt than it has ever been, and there needs to be a big change moving forward or you're going to lost A LOT of fans.

I cannot believe we have got to the point where a ball lightly touching the tips of someone’s hair is being measured by a Snickometer in order to disallow a goal.

The ball’s trajectory and spin were not affected at all.

The offside law was created to stop goal-hanging - it was never intended to be an exact science.

It was never created so that one day artificial intelligence could measure toenails offside and use a snicko to check if someone’s touched a ball.

It was created to stop strikers from man-marking goalkeepers all game.

VAR was meant to be reserved for clear and obvious decisions.

We used to understand that football is better and more entertaining when goals are scored.

That meant that for offsides: in case of doubt, the benefit was given to the attacker while in-line was always onside.

Now we’re using 3D generated AI technology to check toes to the millimetre and extreme microphones to measure minuscule decibels with the aim of disallowing goals and ruining football as a spectacle.

Do they ever ask if we want these changes, do they market test any of it?

What an extra time awaited us for the #Portugal v #Croatia game, unfortunately we will never get to see it thanks to the madness that VAR has descended into.

It's common thinking among US investors coming into European football. They're almost always wrong.

There's history, tradition, community assets that are far more important than corporate profits. Which is what these NFL stadiums are there to create. When United leave Old Trafford there'll be something on par with US facilities. Will the club be better for it? Debatable.

Gimme Craven Cottage over that horror show in Kansas City every time. And for every SoFi there are plenty of roofless concrete meat factories paid for by taxpayers in some dystopian reverse socialism. The best stadium at this World Cup isn't Atlanta or Houston or LA. It’s the Azteca, with all its flaws.

None of the US sports franchise owners care about the social place our clubs have. What they do understand is how to exploit the very Americans who are making posts about Europoors and big stadiums. Getting bent over by billionaire owners who charge watering sums for live event tickets. And then congratulating them on the values of their franchises as if that's a trophy.
