On the Philippine island of Bohol, there are more than 1,200 Chocolate Hills, ranging in height from 30 to 120 meters, spread over an area of 50 km².

They get their name from the grass that turns pale in the dry season and grows abundantly on their slopes. They are composed of marine limestone covered with a thin layer of soil.
