On 18 June 2026, at around 1 PM, I was on my way to the University of Zimbabwe bus stop to catch a kombi into town when I was approached by a young woman with braids wearing a pink jacket. She stopped me and said, “Sister, please wait.”
She then claimed that I had dropped a pink wallet. I told her that I did not own any pink wallet. She then said that another woman had picked up the wallet and that she had found money inside it. She suggested that if the wallet was not mine, we could all share the money.
The woman she referred to was wearing an orange skirt and was walking ahead of us. When she was called over, she stopped and pretended to confirm that the wallet did not belong to me.
Before they could continue with their story, I switched on my phone camera and started recording. I confronted them and asked if they were not ashamed of trying to scam people in Mt Pleasant using the well-known “chadonha” trick.
What I did not know was that they had a getaway vehicle nearby. The driver noticed that I was recording and signalled to them. The woman in the pink jacket then said something to the effect of, “Should we go back?” They immediately ran towards a vehicle and quickly got inside before driving away.
The vehicle they used was a Honda Fit, registration number AGO 2350.

I received a call from MadziBaba VeShanduko. He is facing serious financial difficulties and is struggling to pay his children’s school fees and provide for their basic upkeep.
His home was burnt down, and he spent eight months in prison for a political crime he did not commit before later being acquitted by the courts.
We have set up a GoFundMe campaign to help him rebuild his life and support his family during this difficult period.
Please donate whatever you can and help spread the word.

Not surprisingly, in Hanke’s 2025 Annual Misery Index, Zimbabwe ranks as the FIFTEENTH MOST MISERABLE country in the world. Only 14 countries are more miserable.
PRES. MNANGAGWA = ARROGANT, INCOMPETENT & CORRUPT.
Water tight protection of our Skilled Workers and Professionals is a Better SALARY. Never take advice from evil people who say Zimbabweans enjoy going to the diaspora, it’s poverty pushing them.
The recent Public Hearing Meeting for #constitutionalamendmentbill3 held in Goromonzi was unfortunately turned into a rally, as some attendees resorted to booing and disrupting those who spoke in opposition to CAB#3. A public hearing is meant to provide a platform for open and respectful dialogue, where all participants can express their views freely, without fear or intimidation. It is essential that such forums uphold their purpose by ensuring that every voice is heard and respected, regardless of differing opinions. #NoTo2030Agenda @ZLHRLawyers
ZANU-PF You have no business here. Get away. Arise now. The spirit of this country's blood is with you. Arise and do not be afraid of the sound of boots. They only hit the ground. They go with the summer horns. They don't own the army. The army belongs to the country, it belongs

By President Mnangagwa letting his supporters try to extend his term limit through violence and persecution of those who don’t support his term extension, after saying that he is a constitutionalist who will step down when the time is right, in 2024, he is staining his own legacy as it now seems that like he is another power hungry President who doesn’t want to leave power. #CAB3 #NoToCAB3
I wore this nation's uniform for decades.
My oath was to Zimbabwe to its Constitution, to its people.
NOT to any individual. NOT to any agenda that places one man's ambition above the supreme law of the land. Rise, Zimbabwe. Rise and DEFEND YOUR CONSTITUTION.
#NoTo2030 CAB3 is not reform.
It is a legislative instrument designed to extend presidential tenure beyond what Section 91(2) of the Constitution permits.
Section 328 prohibits exactly this no amendment shall advantage a sitting president on term limits.
The politicians have failed us, but the Constitution does not need a party it needs an army of citizens. We seek no office, we bow to no party line. We stand as the unbroken shield between this Republic and those who would tear it down. Join us to defend our Constitution.
Zanu PF advocated for extension of presidential term limits. Now its being talked about in Kenya. So embarrassing to be known for the wrong reasons.

Journalist Blessed Mhlanga Slams Zimbabwe Govt at Geneva Summit, Warns of “Sophisticated Repression”
Veteran Zimbabwean journalist Blessed Mhlanga delivered a scathing indictment of the Zimbabwean government at the Geneva Summit today, accusing authorities of weaponising the legal system to silence dissent and warning that the country is sliding deeper into authoritarianism.

Mhlanga told delegates he spent 75 days in pre-trial detention in 2025 for allegedly broadcasting a speech he neither authored nor delivered, describing his incarceration as “lawfare”, repression carried out through courts rather than overt violence. He said prosecutors manipulated evidence and repeatedly denied him bail in violation of the constitution.
Although now released, Mhlanga said he remains effectively restricted with bail conditions crippling his finances. He accused the state of targeting journalists’ families to deter critical reporting, saying the government “punishes you through punishing your family.”
He rejected claims that Zimbabwe is reforming, warning instead that repression has merely become more sophisticated. Mhlanga cited proposed constitutional changes allowing longer presidential terms and greater executive control over judicial appointments as evidence of democratic backsliding.
“These proposals open a very dark door,” he said, urging the UN and Western governments to act before Zimbabwe descends further into authoritarian rule and forced migration.
Mhlanga credited international pressure from the US, UK and EU for securing his release and called for sustained global solidarity, vowing he would continue reporting despite intimidation. “Zimbabwe is not democratising,” he said. “Oppression spreads like a virus if left unchecked.”
