@katethompson380 @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co Hi Kate! Great question. Yes it can be hard to juggle a young family with writing so I act as though I work in an office. Up, kids into school, work out, write. Break for lunch, carry on writing. And I set an alarm to collect my kids from school otherwise I might forget!

@AtkinsDani @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co Aaah thanks Dani! Actually I believe there is one...in my Ella Harper novel One Last Wish! Although that aspect isn’t the focus as it’s all about the daughter having a terminal illness & how it affects the parents. I did manage to squeeze one scene in about her being super bendy!

@MarionETodd @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co Definitely a planner. I never edit it as I go along! I just write and write and write and then assess it later. Otherwise I would be too critical and agonise over it so I tend to just roll it out and then take a breath and a step back. Works for me...

@hgweatherill @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co It really is. I used to hate editing (sorry agents and lovely publisher!) but now I really appreciate it. Sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees with your own words and you need that extra, expert set of eyes. It all helps to make the novel stronger.

@hgweatherill @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co Aaah thank you. My advice is to writers starting out is - just write. Which sounds obvious I know, but so many would-be writers feel paralysed and not good enough but you can’t edit a blank page. So write and write some more and then you can edit and make it better.

@dianembanks @NorthbankTalent @canelo_co Aaah I wish I had but no, I wrote the novel after my last visit...a two week tour of Italy with Antibes and Paris tagged on the end. Would love to be back in Paris now...as you say, feels like a far away dream right now...

So it reminds me of magical, happy times with my parents, my brother and my best friend Jane. Brings back so many fantastic memories!
