@RishiJoeSanu Regarding Kannur, almost every Kannurite must have heard Kannada, Tulu, and Kodava as they frequently move to Mangalore, Coorg, Mysore, and Bangalore etc
@RishiJoeSanu More than half of Keralites have heard Kannada, as they rely on Karnataka economically and educationally. This is just a scripted video born out of hate, jealousy, and intolerance toward citizens of Karnataka
@Ram_2468 By your logic, if a Dalit holds the surname 'Singh' or 'Chaudhary', do all Rajputs and Jats magically change their caste too? Surnames are titles, they don't change bloodlines.
@Ram_2468 Family.
They are a distinct peasant and stonemason class, and their unique cross-border language (Vaddara Bhashe) reflects that exact history. You're confusing a shared title/phonetic surname with royal lineage.
@Ram_2468 Exactly, and to prove my point further, many Vaddars literally use the surname Vadeyar or Vadiyaraj.
This proves Odeyar/Vaderar in this context is a localized linguistic evolution of the Vaddar community's own name and guild titles, completely separate from the Mysore Royal
@Ram_2468 The Hoysalas didn't just rule for 15 years they literally set up a second capital at Kannanur (Srirangam) and stayed in TN for a century. The Kulothunga-3 & Ballala-2 marriage alliance directly facilitated the cross-border movement of trusted temple-building stone guilds
@Ram_2468 The living proof is their language itself. "Vaddara Bhashe" carries a distinct mix of Tamil vocabulary built over Telugu roots. If these temple-building stone guilds were restricted only to North Karnataka, they wouldn't speak a dialect fundamentally shaped by Tamil Nadu borders
@Ram_2468 Dynasties like the Hoysalas ruled territories spanning both Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Labor guilds moved fluidly across these medieval borders for temple construction. The migration patterns of these stone-masons are deeply visible in the border districts today.
@Ram_2468 "Odeyar" is a title in Karnataka,not a caste. Some Vaddars hold this surname. As a peasant class, many speak Tamil mixed with Telugu,which is why it was called "Vaddara Bhashe." Originating in Tamil Nadu,they were brought during the Chalukya-Hoysala era for stonemasonry in temple
@__shivv_09 Marathi people are prakrit speaking kannadigas /dravidians.
Ethnically kannadigas but linguistically prakrit speaking , hence we shared similar script .#Goykanadi
