Yesterday our Disability Equality Officer Joanne, together with Director Grainne, had a productive meeting with senior representatives from PSNI at their headquarters.

They've reassured us of their commitment to promoting dignity, respect, and security for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
This marks a positive step forward, and we're eager to continue our discussions with the PSNI.

“It was good to meet with the PSNI today, so they could reassure us that they are always on hand to help and support people with a learning disabilities stay safe in their communities across Northern Ireland”

➡️ Next up, we are planning to arrange a meeting with representatives from the learning disability community to ensure their voices are heard and integrated into our efforts to make Northern Ireland the best place in the world to live with a learning disability!
