MAMA 2013 didn't even invite BTS, when they were nominated and major roty candidate. Roty they won 5x on all other award shows that season, except only mama.

MAMA 2014, the year BTS had top selling album of the year that won their first bonsangs, made BTS go perform on a red carpet instead of the ceremony - and without cheers because that was forbidden. They also made BTS do a beef stage with a senior group, not informing them about it in beforehand

MAMA 2015 gave BTS just 1 song performance, while barely just debuted BIG3 rookie got 3 songs slot. Mind you that year BTS was already top group, breaking billboard records

MAMA 2017 moved aoty from the final daesang, like it always had been, to previous to last, and made the last albumoty just so exo losers have the final glory moment and most spotlight. BTS had to run the stage after performance still struggling to breathe

MBC music show in 2016 took BTS' changing room and gave it to a newly debuted BIG3 rookie. BTS had to change on a corridor, in front of the toilets, which you can actually see on their backstage videos from BS&T promotion period. Also had issues with providing them enough chairs for all members. BTS by then had the bestselling Korean album since early 2000s, and next month they won daesangs on both biggest shows

Also in 2016, a music festival cut out BTS in the last minute, replaced them. BTS came out after it ended, and performed off broadcast in all the stage dirt of confettis and shit, just for armys who came for them

And speaking of cutting out, BTS was cut out of roughly 80% shows they recorded in their rookie time. The reason provided was that kpop stans won't be interested in a group from small poor company. They were practicing all days and nights, recording content, and amid all the exhaustion they were going to record shows that were cutting them out

This is just some of many things they were put through. And mind you, all those fairytales about bighit hidden connections or external capital, BTS were almost evicted from their rat hole 55m² apartment just because the company was struggling to pay rent. They were not even granted a debut on a music show, and made it there only because someone freed a spot on the same day

Not to mention how bigger companies idols, even juniors to BTS, mocked BTS members in their faces just for being from a small company

And many other things.

K-pop industry had been treating BTS like a worthless piece of trash, for years, until their grew so huge it was impossible to ignore them anymore. Until it was either a loss or caving to respect, because with BTS there was demand, with BTS was viewership, with BTS was event ticket sales, until BTS became the winning.
