Good salary:
-you can pay adult bills comfortably such as mortgage, gas, electricity, car/car insurance, council tax
-you should be able to pay for nursery fees comfortably (even if you don’t have a child the intention is to have one for most)
-you should be able to comfortably save up to 20% of your salary
-you should be able to go on at least one holiday a year
-you should be able to go on minimum one outing per month - local restaurant/ cinema etc with ease, not feeling the pinch
- you should be able to buy and eat healthy whole foods without having to buy unhealthy cheaper options
-you should not have to borrow money from anyone.
- you should be able to purchase a gift for someone special 4 times a year (£100-200 for mother, father, sibling partner, friend)
The above is not a luxury life. These things should all be possible on one good salary.
