🇳🇴🤝🇺🇦 Norway, together with several Allies, will finance a new defence materiel support package for Ukraine worth approximately NOK 5 billion.
The contribution is being made through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), announced yesterday at NATO’s meeting of Defence Ministers in Brussels. Norway’s share amounts to just over NOK 1.3 billion.
PURL has proven to be an effective mechanism for maintaining a stable supply of American weapons to Ukraine.

Today we mark 81 years since the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp.
As the living memory of the Holocaust fades, we urgently need new forms of remembrance.

Threats have no place among allies. Norway's position is firm: Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. Norway fully supports the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Denmark. There is broad agreement in NATO on the need to strengthen security in the Arctic, including in Greenland.
50 years after signing of the Helsinki Final Act, it it more important than ever to protect sovereignty, territorial integrity and human rights.
Support for Ukraine, accountability for Russia and strengthening of Europe’s security are Norway’s main priorities at #OSCEMC2025
I commend my colleague, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Finnish Foreign Minister @elinavaltonen, for her engagement with Georgian stakeholders and for her clear support for fundamental @OSCE commitments.
She has Norway’s full support and confidence. https://t.co/KWoki8ua82
A sad day for democracy in Georgia. OSCE/ODIHR unable to observe local elections, recommendations unaddressed. Regrettable use of violence.
Repressive laws and jailing opposition leaders further undermine trust in Georgia’s elections.
Yet again, Russia has launched missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities, killing civilians and destroying homes.
The contrast could not be starker: in the halls of the United Nations, Russia speaks of peace; on the ground in Ukraine, its illegal war continues day and night.
🇳🇴✈️ This summer, for the first time, Norway transported intensive care patients from Ukraine on ventilators using the C-130J Hercules aircraft – in this case, two young burn victims🏥
Strategic aeromedical evacuation is a 24/7 capability within the Norwegian Armed Forces Medical Services.
This resource routinely carries out evacuations of Ukrainian patients, and has so far transported over 3,500 patients and accompanying family members.
By relocating patients and their families to hospitals across Europe, Norway helps relieve pressure on Ukraine’s healthcare system – giving more people access to life-saving treatment.
Many suffer from serious or life-threatening conditions – including cancer, major amputations, head injuries, thoracic and abdominal trauma, sepsis, and severe burns.
Two aircraft types are used in these missions: the Royal Norwegian Air Force’s C-130J Hercules and a Boeing 737-700 operated by SAS. Both are flexible platforms that can be fitted with stretchers, seating, monitoring equipment, medication pumps, and ventilators.
The Structured Dialogue is an informal platform for consultation on security related matters.
Today at the ASRC, 🇳🇴 presented initial findings and proposed steps forward on how to manage risks amidst distrust.

Good discussions with Prime Minister of Ukraine @Denys_Shmyhal in Paris. Norway stands with Ukraine, and I’m proud of our military & development aid to our Ukrainian friends.

Norway’s history has instilled in us the enduring truth that peace must be safeguarded and freedom resolutely defended. Ukraine’s current struggle serves as a solemn reminder of the importance of unity and international solidarity. Norway stands with Ukraine in profound respect.
Norway is alarmed by Georgian authorities’ new repressive tools, including foreign agents bill and initiatives that enables banning of opposition parties.
This curtails Georgian democracy by undermining freedom of expression, dismantling civic space and political pluralism.
We salute the brave women of Ukraine 💪
They are major forces in Ukraine's resistance and future development.
Norway is proud to support women through our multi-year military and civilian support programme.

For peace talks on Ukraine to succeed, Ukraine must have a leading role.
Any solution must be just, lasting, and guarantee Ukraine’s full independence, sovereignty, and freedom to choose its own path - including its alliances - both now and in the future.
Repressive moves, violence, arrests & mounting pressure on free media are clear signs: Georgian Dream is steering the country away from European and democratic path. This affects our partnership. Norway's response: https://t.co/t8TlQiWa9d
Another heinous attack by Russia on the historic city centre of Odesa. A complete disregard for the safety of civilians. We condemn Russia’s illegal war of aggression and stand with the brave citizens of Odesa.
I am concerned by the @osce_odihr report on the elections in #Georgia 🇬🇪that documents numerous irregularities, pressure on voters, intimidation and an unlevel playing field.
Uncertainties relating to the integrity of electoral process undermine confidence and must be addressed.
«Journalists, human rights defenders, civil society organizations and ODIHR all play key roles in monitoring and holding states accountable to their obligations”
🇳🇴 is ready to contribute to the biggest #HumanRights conference in Europe for the next 2 weeks.
