@sharanjit@monsoon0 Oh yes - I turned up to lectures just to copy down lecture notes. I basically never understood a single thing in real time in a lecture, but there was no other way to get the notes.
The new version of the pair of pants... the pair of pajamas! (A pair of pants with the legs capped off.) I love it!
Introduced to me in Shelly Harvey's plenary talk at #WIMSIG21.
Does every talk need an outline or outline slide? Outlines in a short talks have always been a pet hate of mine!
Great talk on talking maths! @maths_kath#WIMSIG21

Say you have n gifts to give to n people, but each person is only happy with some of the gifts. Then for each subset of the n people the collective set of gifts they want must be at least as large.
Hall's Marriage Theorem says this is not only necessary, it's sufficent.
One of my favourite surprising mathematical results is the painter’s paradox. Gabriel’s horn is defined by rotating y=1/x (x≥1) in three dimensions about the x-axis. This has finite volume and infinite surface area. #GT2ScavengerHunt#SurprisingMaths
Seems impossible to choose my *favourite* mathematics, but the problem in this video definitely demonstrates a lot of the things I love about maths @GT2_math#ScavengerHunt

"Act like a lady."
"You need to man up."
"You're not like other girls."
"You're pretty funny for a girl."
"Don't be so emotional."
"It's prob her time of the month."
"You're prettier when you smile."
"Stop playing like a girl."
"You should take it as a compliment."
Here's my first submission for the #GT2ScavengerHunt, a picture of me doing maths in nature. 10 points if you can guess where in Australia I am and 5000 if you can solve my maths problem! @GT2_math#mathsinnature
In 2019, ~931 million tonnes of food – 17% of total amount available to consumers – went to waste.
This would be enough to fill 23 million 40-tonne trucks, which bumper-to-bumper would circle the world seven times 🚛 #FoodWaste@UNEP@MarcusGover@WRAP_UK https://t.co/3vC95IbJKs
