Alberta’s public health-care system is being steadily eroded by the UCP government as they barrel forward with their plans to introduce a two-tier, American-style, for-profit system here in our province. It’s not just wrong, it’s incompetent, because it will do nothing to improve services for Albertans.
Today, I sent a letter to Prime Minister Carney, calling on the Government of Canada to intervene under the Canada Health Act and protect public health care in Alberta.
Life just keeps getting more expensive.
You deserve a government that wants to help.
That’s why we launched the Alberta Affordability Agenda — our first set of commitments to help you keep more money in your pocket.

The Alberta NDP making an election-style pledge on affordability.
The plan includes increasing minimum wage to $18, cutting the gas tax when oil prices are high, taking steps it claims will bring down grocery prices and measures it argues will help first time home buyers.

This is something I'd like changed in the CHA.
It is a violation to purchase medically necessary care in your own province but somehow not in another. A serious loophole.
If we have a national CHA - then we shouldn't allow it to be interpreted provincially.
@ShannonStubbsMP The reason the proposed pipeline may difficult to finance privately is economic risk.
It’s not bad laws.
It’s not carbon tax.
It’s economic risk.
Yes, you read that right.
The UCP rejected the report from the actually independent Electoral Boundaries Commission & struck a committee dominated by their MLAs to draw the maps again.
And those MLAs just appointed a recent UCP donor to work with them.
Shameless. #ableg
Hey! Just got back from Calgary where virtually every person I spoke to was dead against separation or any kind of ballot question in October. The entire thing is a farce. #DanielleSmithisaliar
Our rally in Grand Prairie proved that we are united For Alberta, For Canada. We’re in the fight of our lives, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” These words hit hard regarding the silence on corrupt @UCPCaucus, the inhumanity and hate for disabled from @ABDanielleSmith, the math illiterate separatists and the shit-storm of Trump.
Never thought I'd post this…but here we go…
All I ever wanted to be was a journalist, but after 21 years I’ve filed my final story.
I’m choosing to take a stand for Alberta & Canada.
I'll share more soon, but for now, thanks to everyone who follows & supports my work!
A powerful wave of unity is sweeping Alberta. The response to #ForeverCanadian lawn signs has been phenomenal—thousands of signs now stand tall in across the province. Volunteers are organizing pop-ups to help distribute! #ableg#abpoli#cdnpoli@LukaszukAB@ForCanMVMT
@audricmoses Must have been timing, we took the LRT which came 4 minutes after we arrived at station and took it back after waiting about 5 minutes. We got to the station an hour before kick off and left after the first score, so likely missed the masses
Alberta belongs in Canada.
Danielle Smith is playing a dangerous game, giving oxygen and credibility to far right separatists.
Albertans deserve better.
