I've been running for 4 years, but I've always avoided 5ks/parkruns because they're too far to run flat out, but too short to get into a comfortable rhythm. This year, I promised myself to make an effort to do parkruns, and after run no.5, I think I'm cracking the mental block.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually enjoyed parkrun this morning. Lovely weather and great catchup over coffee afterwards. The free Nutella pancake samples in Tesco also went down an absolute treat.

Last night, I spoke to future healthcare professionals at Swansea Uni about supporting those suddenly bereaved of child and the services @2wishcharity provide. Huge thanks to one of our mums who came along to share her story, hospital experience and answer any questions.
