"Train your mind to see the good in every situation"; My affirmation today.
I barely ever recognise the positive aspects of a situation, as the negatives always overrule. However, I am learning that every negative has a positive attached to it. Remember that๐๐ค #OTstudent
@hassanali_OT You're doing a great job! Especially taking band 5 meeting minutes ๐ Don't put too much pressure on yourself though, it'll all come with time ๐๐ผ
Shout out to @TeamGervis_NUH for making their ward such a calm and warm environment to work in ๐ i unfortunatly see some devasting cases with those sadly losing their battle to cancer, but the ward just make it all a bit more brighter and bearableโค๏ธ
A well needed short break to the slopes๐I started my new rotation on oncology last week and it took so much energy out of me. I can tell it's going to be a challenging one but I'm looking forward to see what next 6 months have in store. Ps, I miss you @OTmedsurgNUH ๐
We are reviewing the Vascular pathway in @TeamNUH and we wondered if any other amputee services across the UK have any policies or procedures in relation to what equipment they provide to amputees?Does anybody use rotundaโs or crutches? @Hollie_ClarkOT#vascular#amputee#OT
Hi, @The_HCPC please could you tell me when I should be expecting to revieve my registration? I paid for this almost 2 weeks ago and thought that it was an automatic process to grant me my certification. Finding this slightly frustrating now ๐ค please help.
I gave blood for the first time the other day and I've found out that my blood type is O negative. This means that my blood can be used on anyone to help save lives in emergency situations, where time is most valuable. I'm known as a "first responder" ๐ so cool!! @GiveBloodNHS
This is one of my favourite pictures of my dad. A smile that will stay with me forever โค he might not have seen me complete my degree, but he knew I had secured my first job as an OT ๐ i can't wait to carry that smile with me when times get tough. I miss you dad ๐จโ๐ง
eekk ๐ so I have just found out that my first rotation will be with @OTmedsurgNUH@NUHTherapies!! This is an area that fascinated me whilst on placement ๐ค if anyone could please suggest any useful learning material / research I'd LOVE to find out more ๐ thank you ๐
3 weeks ago today, my dad sadly passed away due to heart failure. Since having a defibrillator fitted at the young age of 36, he never let this impact on his life. Experiencing this nightmare has really made me realise how short and cruel life can be. Chase your dreams โค
@marinadpol I would love to know the research and evidence base around the effectiveness of this technique?! I personally find it utterly ridiculous ๐
Absolutely thrilled to have been offered my first band 5 rotational job with @NUHTherapies ๐ Feeling extremely lucky & relieved. Here's to the last couple of months as a student๐ฅ
