Watching the movie Clerks should be required before anyone gets a job on retail.

The movie Armegeddon is on TV right now, and I can’t help but think that if Trump was President in the movie, he would send Ivanka and Jared to destroy the asteroid.

To all my former students and younger friends. You are needed to work as poll workers for November 3rd. Most poll workers are senior citizens and they are not doing it this year because of Covid. Contact your city clerk's office to apply. You get paid for the work.

Some of you need to hear this: You don’t need to pull your mask down to talk on the phone. Sound will travel through the mask.

Can everyone agree that we will not touch every piece of fruit at the grocery store. Just eyeball it and pick one.

[Elliot Glaser @ElliotGlaser]

@WOWCare Internet not working. Called customer service and they said we need a new modem. First appt is Monday. We work from home because of Covid. We need this fixed earlier.

Let’s just cancel the school year. Everyone can take a gap year, even the kindergartners, and we can all pick up again in September 2021.

Do you know why everyone thought kids and young adults didn't get Covid? We closed all the schools and colleges in March. Kids didn't go anywhere. Now that schools and colleges are opening up, the infection rate is up.

Imagine, if where you work, they told you that you had a meeting scheduled, in person, indoors, with 32 attendees for an hour. And then told you that there would be six meetings a day. Everyday, Monday-Friday. That is in person school at the middle and high school level.

"Totally heartbroken."

"I feel like a sacrificial lamb."

"I thought I was a teacher. Oh no, a social worker. Wait, a police officer. Now a front-line health care worker."

“The lack of respect for educators at this time is astounding. We’re consistently being told that our concerns are null and void. They aren’t considered valid by non-educators. And that’s terrifying.” ~ @ILTOY2018

"They couldn't keep the bathrooms clean; how are they going to disinfect the whole school daily?"

Have you wondered why the Republican senators want to get rid of the $600/week federal unemployment pay? When they passed it, they had no idea $600/week was a lot of money for someone making minimum wage. For Republican senators, $600 is the tab for dinner at a nice restaurant.

Imagine this: Your 8 year old child gets COVID and then infects his/her 3rd grade teacher. The teacher dies. How much trauma does that child go through for the rest of their life? #KeepSchoolsClosed #TeachersLivesMatter

Movie theaters are closed in Michigan but schools are set to open. You can’t see a movie, but we are going to jam 1500 students into a high school. #KeepSchoolsClosed #teacherlivesmatter

[Elliot Glaser @ElliotGlaser]

If the newscasters can't sit at the same desk to read the news on TV, why are schools going to be open? #keepschoolsclosed #teacherlivesmatter

[Elliot Glaser @ElliotGlaser]

I agree with this wholeheartedly and this should be the stance of every teacher’s union in the country. @MEAOnline @AFTunion @NEAToday #keepschoolsclosed #teacherlivesmatter

🗣️ @Lily_NEA: There are 3 million teachers and support staff out there who desperately want to hug their kids, but we will not be complicit in standing by and letting politicians cavalierly warehouse those kids without caring about their safety.
