@zoeenglish76@ShotofHotsaucy@Jordan_MG_ A graph produced by Centre For Migration Control and shared by Restore Britain hardly screams neutrality and credibility, does it? The issue isn’t immigrants but men - be it white, migrants or otherwise. Don’t weaponise VAWG victims’ experiences for your shite agenda.
@GoldenHeavenMan @BMM1882 Not being racist means I’m a “preprogrammed goy”? Just say it with chest that you’re a racist piece of shit and move on chief
@Justin005443601@defiantwhinger@Variety Did you watch the film? A big part of the film is about him learning to stop apologising for his disability (something he has no control over). The film tries to break down the exact sort of stigma you are now displaying, couldn’t write the irony of it.
@gamecounsel@JENBROOK8 They haven’t lost their investment overnight. They can still charge £250 for nothing which is £250 more than they ought to be able to. It’s not come randomly overnight either. LH reform has been talked about for years and years with the UK one of the last countries to have it
@gamecounsel@JENBROOK8 Why should they be compensated? Every investment carries risk. If someone takes the risk on investing in what is essentially the exploitation of leaseholders, I’m not going to feel bad for them because it’s now capped @ £250 (still for absolutely nothing)
@Democrazy_UK@DawnButlerBrent Any increases to the ground rent will still need to be in line with the lease though - they can’t just slap it up to £250 because they fancy it (unless the lease allows that)
@PaulAllenSK1 In reality freeholders don’t exercise that right but fact remains that it makes such leasehold properties unmortgageable in lenders eyes due to added “risk”. Becoming more of an issue now as a lot of leases have doubling ground rent clauses meaning more and more GR is now £250+
@CathyMo41926708@RhonddaBryant The clauses of the lease are only enforceable to the extent permitted by law, once the law is passed in however many years the GR that can be lawfully enforced is capped at £250 regardless of what the original lease says
@sub2pewdsONyt@hvsperus@PolitlcsUK Ah yes of course, millions of leaseholders should continue to suffer and be trapped in their property unable to sell as to not upset the elderly, make it make sense
@sub2pewdsONyt@hvsperus@PolitlcsUK Have a day off. Don’t talk about the ethical thing whilst trying to justify that leaseholders should continue to pay hundreds of pounds a year for literally nothing. Freeholders charge ground rent purely and simply because the outdated medieval-style law lets them.
