So yesterday I took my baby to be groomed. They said he couldn’t be groomed because he wasn’t up on his shots. He was JUST there two months ago no problem. So I take him and drop him off for shots. He was PERFECTLY FINE! When I picked him up he wasn’t. I had to rush him back to dr a few hours later for an emergency. Supposedly there is a NEW shot added to yearly shots. When I asked WHAT they had done, they said the only thing new was that shot. I asked what it was and what it was for? They said it was for dogs on farms or in woods etc that might come in contact with rodents! I said he is a SHORKIE who stays inside and only goes outside to potty! WHY does he have to have that. He had a bad allergic reaction to the shot. They had to give him two more shots to try to help him. We made it through the night but he still isnt good! Please pray for my baby!
Writing this thank you is not easy, but over the past couple of days I’ve felt the Lord prompting me with increasing insistence.
Today I finally had a moment of clarity and knew it was something I needed to do.
Elizabeth Cooper, if you’re still reading my messages, I want to thank you for giving me a window - narrower than I would have preferred, but a window nonetheless - to bring my dog home.
You and I share a deep love for our dogs. I did everything in my power to bring my Lucy home, and I’m certain you would have fought just as hard for yours. I know that dogs in other situations have not been as fortunate as Lucy.
Thank you for letting me have my dog back and my family be whole again.
My Mum is 89. A few weeks before Christmas her elderly dog died and she was heartbroken. She’d decided not to get another dog because she didn’t think it would be fair to a dog as she is disabled and doesn’t think she’ll live for long enough to outlive it.
However, a dog rescuer that had rehomed dogs with her in the past, knew her old dog had died and when a little 12 year old dog came in who’s elderly owner had died, she phoned Mum and asked if she’d be interested.
By then, she was feeling very lonely without a constant companion so said she’d give it a go and see how it went. As you can see by the photo they got on very well and are blissfully happy. Both of them have got a new lease of life and adore each other ❤🙏
Two elderly horses, Leo and Lou, were worked to the point of exhaustion and abandoned by their former owner when they could no longer work. Thin, frail, and close to death from starvation and illness, they were rescued by a dedicated rescue team.
Thanks to loving care and an incredible recovery journey—especially with the help of an underwater treadmill—Leo gained more than 136 kilograms (300 pounds) in just three months. Today, the two best friends are enjoying a happy retirement together, living side by side on a lush green farm, running freely, and finally receiving the love and kindness they have always deserved.🐴❤️🐴

Iris is a mum who lost all her pups in Lancram. We think she’s had a very hard life & not much kindness💔
She’s safe with Florina now & I’ve promised to help her find a home.
We just received the best news…Iris’s tumour is benign 🙌
This means she has a bright future ahead 🥰
My dog Max had a heart attack and died about an hour ago, my son died in November and they were the best of mates, in a daft way I would like to think they are together again. Rest in peace the both of you.
Animals teach us what it means to love without asking for anything in return. But for millions of them, this love is cut short by abandonment, one of the cruelest forms of human indifference. Reflecting on this issue is the first step towards changing this reality and building a society that is more empathetic and responsible towards animals! 🐕 💔
Beautifully said. That line ~ “this love is cut short by abandonment" ~ hits hard because it names abandonment for what it is: not a neutral act, but an active infliction of harm on a being that trusted you completely.
Reflection is essential. But you are right that it is only the first step. The real question is: What does the second step look like for each of us?
A few actionable ideas for anyone reading this who wants to move from reflection to impact:
#AdoptDontShop 🐾. It helps reduce demand from breeders and gives a homeless animal a second chance.
Foster, even temporarily. Shelters are overwhelmed. One foster slot opens space to save another life.
Microchip. Spay/Neuter prevents accidental litters and ensures lost pets find their way home.
Donate or volunteer time and money to local shelters go directly toward feeding, vaccinating, and rehoming.

Drone captured a man racing toward his dog in the ocean, but the shadow behind them made everyone think it was too late.
A beach drone was flying over the shoreline when it spotted a dog struggling far from shore, paddling hard while the waves kept pulling it farther out.
Seconds later, the owner saw what was happening.
He ran into the water without thinking, fighting through the current as people on the beach started yelling for help.
But before he could reach his dog, the drone captured a dark shape moving underneath the water.
At first, everyone thought it was a shark.
The shape moved straight toward the dog, and for a few seconds, the footage looked like it was about to turn into every pet owner’s worst nightmare.
Then it surfaced. It wasn’t a shark. It was a dolphin.
The dolphin swam behind the dog and gently pushed it toward the shore, helping it get back in the direction of its owner.
The man finally reached his dog and pulled him close, both of them making it back safely while the dolphin disappeared into the water. People on the beach thought they were watching something terrible unfold.
But the drone caught the moment a dolphin turned panic into a rescue.
