Let’s get some very important points clear about the MOU the president and his administration are signing.

Of course, I’m disappointed. I believe any deal with a murderous evil radical death cult is inherently a bad deal.
We let the Iranian regime off the hook- for the world, America, and our allies. I believe this is a dangerous mistake.

With that said, it’s not only the details or lack of them in this MOU that matter. It’s also some of the statements the president is making to the public during a time of astronomical Jew-hatred the likes we’ve never seen since before World War II.

The way he speaks about ballistic missiles and how “if no one gets hurt, it’s no big deal.”

The way he sarcastically or flippantly accuses Israel and Bibi of acting recklessly in their appropriate need to defend their people, when he knows full well the damage these “no big deal” missiles can inflict. There are plenty of other examples from the last few days but this is contributing to the salt on the wound many feel.

People in northern Israel have been under rocket attack for years, and the president is setting up a situation where Israel must choose between defending its people or being accused of risking the ceasefire. This will inevitably lead to more anti Israel and anti Jew rhetoric.

With all that said, we must all act responsibly in how we speak. Every post, from small or big accounts, will be seen by others. Speaking with extreme language about the president is wrong, unhelpful, and reflects a lack of gratitude for his friendship to Israel, the Jewish people, and all the good he has done.

He chose a path that has many concerned.
Count me in that group. It is my American right to believe this MOU is a disaster.

He chose a path that many believe was the right choice for America. Count almost all those we’ve seen descend into awful behavior and hate-filled speech against Jews in that category.

Then there are some in the middle. Many in this camp are good and decent. We should stop sounding like entitled children in our reactions to those who feel differently, especially when so many are earnest in their analysis.

You can be unequivocally critical, but realize that speaking in extreme ways and showing an overzealous need to go scorched-earth on anyone who disagrees puts us in a trap that he-haters will salivate over.

Everyone should be more careful with their words, including and more than anyone, the President.

I’ll leave it there for now, but please heed this message and keep the discourse appropriate, respectful, and productive.
