I went to the race specifically for that stage to do an article for Procycling, which can be found in an issue from that time. @friebos called me the night before to say that Pantani had died, and I had to break the news to the race organisation.

And that’s right, Owen - it was for Cyclingnews and/or Procycling, and we did it during the Tour for a couple of years, around 2006/07.
Richard, Friebos & Lionel went on to elevate podcasting to an artform, though.
