BREAKING: CNN's Jake Tapper boldly defends journalist Maggie Haberman after Trump launched a "disgusting" attack on her physical appearance after she broke a damaging story about him.

This was one of Trump's worst rants to date...

"I’m not going to repost the filth the president wrote about Maggie Haberman, but suffice it to say she’s a great person, beautiful inside and out, an incredible mom and wife and colleague, and an amazing journalist," Tapper wrote on X. "The president’s comments are disgusting and beneath the office."

"We should never get used to this deterioration in our expectations for how a president should behave. Never," he added.

While we certainly understand Tapper's instinct to avoid repeating the smears against his friend, we believe that the American people must never look away from the ugliness that Trump spews. We must confront each new indignity, cruelty, and degradation head on so that we are reminded why this kind of man can never be allowed into power again. To that end—

"Maggot Hagerman, the Fake Reporter from The Failing New York Times, an unattractive person both inside and out, and who knows less about me than most reporters on the beat (She’s a SCAMMER!), made up a story that on September 11th, I’m not going to the World Trade Center, in New York City, because they won’t let me make a speech, and I’m going to the Pentagon in D.C., because I’m a featured speaker," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"This is more Corrupt News, I’ve been to New York many times over the years, and no one ever speaks, it’s a 'solemn ceremony!' I never even thought of what Maggot made up, and besides, I would love not to speak, because I’m speaking all the time, and this is a day to remember the victims, and their beautiful family members," he continued.

"Maggot Hagerman is a PHONY, and The New York Times knows it! It will all be revealed in the lawsuit against them, and another lawsuit against the organization which gives out the now discredited Pulitzer Prize, because Maggie got one for her 'reporting' on THE RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA HOAX, which turned out to be a total CON JOB!" Trump went on, clearly enraged.

"If she were ever forced to reveal her 'sources,' you will find out they either don’t exist, or didn’t say what she reported," he wrote. "She’s been falsely writing about me for years — She’s a stalker, and should be forced to turn over any and all money that she’s made through her fake reporting on me. President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Haberman reported that Trump will not be attending the 25th anniversary ceremony for 9/11 at Manhattan’s National September 11 Memorial & Museum because they refused his request to give a speech. There is absolutely no reason to distrust her reporting. She's a serious, credible journalist with a sterling track record. If she's reporting this story, it's because she has rock-solid sources to drawn upon.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is a pathological liar who loves the sound of his own voice. Of course he tried to make the 9/11 commemoration event about himself. But he also knows that Haberman's reporting makes him look absolutely awful and he can scarcely afford more bad press with his approval ratings in the toilet and the midterms right around the corner.

As for his attack on Haberman, at this point, is anyone still surprised? This man is an avowed misogynist. He despises women and has a long history of making insulting comments about their appearances. We can't convince this man to be anything other than what he is. Our only option is to vote his entire party out of power and prosecute him once we retake the White House.

BREAKING: Trump FREAKS OUT and unveils an insane new strategy after the Supreme Court humiliated him by upholding birthright citizenship.

The MAGA train is fully off the tracks now…

“The Supreme Court upheld Birthright Citizenship, which is too bad for our Country, but we can easily make it up in Congress through Legislation, with the support of the President, that has now been determined during this process,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“No long and unwieldy Constitutional Amendment is necessary! Congress should start TODAY to work on ending expensive and unfair to our Country, Birthright Citizenship,” he added. “They will have my Complete and Total Support! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

In reality, Congress has no power to overturn birthright citizenship through legislation. As confirmed by the Supreme Court’s ruling today, all children “born in the United States, to parents unlawfully or temporarily present, are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States and are citizens at birth under the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause.”

In other words, their right to citizenship is hardwired into the Constitution. To strip that right away, Trump would need to propose a constitutional amendment which would require either 2/3 of the House and Senate voting in favor of it (an impossibility given the hyperpolarization of Congress and the blatantly racist, partisan nature of Trump’s demand). Or 2/3 of the state legislatures would have to vote to hold a constitutional convention. In either scenario, 3/4 of the states would have to vote to approve the amendment proposal. There is virtually zero chance of this happening.

If Trump instead attempts what he described in his post and somehow manages to ram through a Congressional repeal of birthright citizenship, that legislation would just end up right back in front of the Supreme Court, which would overturn the bill and affirm today’s ruling.

Trump is out of options but he can’t admit that because his xenophobic base is too lathered up over this issue. If he concedes that he has no power to end birthright citizenship, that would be one too many failures for the right-wingers who grudgingly overlooked his Epstein coverup and Iran War.

This court decision is existential for Trump. Unfortunately for him, the Constitution is stronger than his fascist maneuvers!

Samuel Alito’s son has worked as a lawyer inside Trump’s Treasury Department since early last year. The administration hid it.

No public resume, no LinkedIn, no mention on the Treasury website, outdated bar listings. Four former officials confirmed it.

The public was never told.

Here is why that matters.

Philip Alito served as an attorney-adviser in Treasury’s general counsel office, briefed on department matters across the board, while the Supreme Court took up a case in which the Treasury Department was a named defendant.

The department never disclosed the connection in court.

Justice Alito did not recuse.

The federal recusal law is plain. A justice must step aside in any case where his impartiality might reasonably be questioned.

That is the test.

Not whether anyone can prove influence but whether a reasonable person looking at this would doubt it. A justice ruling on cases involving the very agency that employs his son fails that test on its face.

And Treasury sits at the center of many upcoming issues, including the fight over Trump’s $1.776 billion dollar fund to reward the January 6th rioters he pardoned. That fight could be headed to the Court too.

This is exactly why the honor system has failed.

The Supreme Court is the only court in America with no enforceable code of conduct. I support withholding funding from the Court until the justices adopt a binding code with real recusal review.

Congress holds the power of the purse.

We should use it.

BREAKING: Elizabeth Warren humiliates RFK Jr. over Trump's insane lie that he's lowering prescription prices by 600% — a literal mathematical impossibility.

Finally, someone called them out on this BS!

"President Trump and the Republicans slashed health care for millions of families. The president pitched his TrumpRx website as the answer for Americans who are worried about health care costs," Senator Warren said during a hearing.

"He claims that TrumpRx has reduced prices by as much as 600%," she continued. "600%, which I think means companies should be paying you to take their drugs."

Trump has repeatedly touted absurd price reductions but as Warren pointed out, 600% is impossible. Even 100% would be untenable for these companies, because it would mean that they were giving the drugs away for free. If a drug costs $10 and you reduce it by 100%, it's now $0.

"But let's do some real math here," continued Warren. "Take one drug, Protonix, a 30-day supply of this heartburn medication, cost $200 on TrumpRx. But there is an identical generic version of this pill called Pantoprazole. Secretary Kennedy, do you know how much it costs for a 30-day supply of that drug at Costco?"

"But I would say this, Senator, President Trump has a different way of calculating," said RFK. "If— There's two ways of calculating percentage. If you have a $600 drug and you reduce it to $10, that's a 600% reduction."

Of course, Kennedy is dead wrong. If you drop $600 to $10 that would be a 98.33% reduction. You calculate based on the starting number, not on the reduced number working backwards. This is emblematic of the entire MAGA ethos: reject reality and use that rejection to claim some great achievement. Meanwhile, the rest of us still exist in the real world paying real prices.

"I understand, but you know I only have five minutes," Warren said, bulldozing over RFK's bunk math. "Do you know what the drug costs at Costco?"

"I do not," conceded Kennedy.

"The drug is $16 at Costco. TrumpRx charges $200 for Protonix and Costco charges $16," said Warren. "Let's do another one. Tikosyn is a treatment for heart arrhythmia. It costs $336 on TrumpRx or you can get the generic at Cost Plus Drugs for $12. So you tell me, Mr. Secretary, are patients better off paying $336 on TrumpRx or $12 at Cost Plus Drugs?"

This is exactly how you dismantle Trumpian lies. Drill through the misinformation, the propaganda, and the misdirection to get to the cold hard data. RFK and Trump can try all they want to mislead the American people, the numbers never lie.

BREAKING: A former White House doctor calls for Trump to undergo an immediate "medical evaluation" after a disturbing new Truth Social post supercharged concerns about his mental collapse.

The dementia is getting worse by the day...

"Earlier in the week the president threatened to kill an entire civilization. Now he posts a video of a woman being beaten to death," Dr. Jonathan Reiner, who was Vice President Dick Cheney's cardiologist, wrote on X.

"To put it mildly, that’s concerning behavior. If he was a member of your family you would urge him to see a doctor. He should have a medical evaluation," he added.

Trump posted a video to Truth Social yesterday showing a woman being brutally beaten to death outside of a gas station. He used the clip to rant about "illegal criminal aliens" and blamed "Radical Democrats" and "Crooked Joe Biden" for the horrific incident.

It was a disgusting politicization of a woman's death that underscored just how callused Trump is towards any loss of life. No previous president would have ever considered posting a snuff film for the whole world to see, but there's no low to which Trump will not sink amidst his plummeting approval ratings.

"Please say a prayer for this innocent woman’s family," Trump wrote, as if he cares one bit about the deceased's loved ones. He amplified their pain a thousandfold just by sharing the footage.

Of course, a worsening lack of self control is a hallmark sign of certain forms of cognitive decline, particularly certain types of dementia. This man is unraveling more and more by the day and yet the Republican Party refuses to take action. He's deeply unfit to lead and his finger is hovering over the nuclear button. We need the 25th Amendment now!

"A whole civilization will die tonight” are words no President of the United States had ever spoken until this morning. Donald Trump’s behavior is unhinged and making Americans less safe. After a 25-year career in the United States Navy, I have never met or served with anyone who so completely lacks the qualities of good leadership as Donald Trump does.

If the President takes the actions he has threatened to take, countless Iranian civilians will die, it will massively escalate this war, and the United States will be seen as a country without a moral or ethical compass. That will make Americans less safe right now and risk the lives of thousands of service members. The consequences will have a lasting and damaging effect on our nation.

Trump's mistakes have led us to this perilous moment, but the solution is not to escalate even further. This must stop.
