I try to limit my time on this platform. I won't respond to every post. (Some posts, frankly, are from people in serious need of mental-health help or a crash course in how not to be a racist.) I do try to read everything, even the nutty posts as they are often very amusing.
There’s nothing crazy about it. Israel won decisively in 1948, 1967, and 1973. After 1979, with deeper U.S. involvement, Israel never won a war decisively. For instance, in 1982, Reagan pressured Israel to lift the siege of Beirut, allowing the PLO to flee to Tunisia.
This pattern of U.S. intervention, much like when Trump later restrained Israel from defeating Hamas or Hezbollah, didn’t start with Trump. For the record, the aid Nixon sent in 1973 arrived at the end of the war and didn’t make much difference.
The US also killed the Israeli fighter Jet program.
Antijudaism, antisemitism, antizionism.
These are the three great eras of Jew-hatred that any historian looking at our age objectively, and comparing it to the past, would identify.
In antijudaism, Jews are cast as Christ-killers, desecrators of the host, sorcerers, and heretics. Judaism itself is put on trial as a religion. Medieval disputations and forced conversions challenge the legitimacy of Judaism as a belief system, and Jews are pressured to renounce their faith.
In antisemitism, Jews are cast as polluters of racial and national purity, and blamed for economic disruption and financial instability. The legitimacy of Jewish existence within national societies is framed as the "Jewish Question." Jews are targeted as an ethnic population and subjected to segregation, expulsion, and physical genocide.
In antizionism, Jews are cast as violators of human rights, equality, and decolonization. Israel is cast as the paradigmatic rogue state. Medieval disputations and the Jewish Question are replaced by an obsessive complex of "criticism of Israel" and the questioning of Israel's right to exist. Jews are targeted as "Zionists," and are demanded to renounce Israel and disappear as a politically organized people.
The Arabs who lived in the British Mandate of Palestine who fled, had the right to the land offered to them. Not sure why they turned that down.
A bunch of Arabs stayed in the land where Israel is. They now number over 2,000,000.
Stop crying
Polanski would sellout every Jew he’s known, in an attempt to ingratiate himself with the Islamist ideology that would lop his own heąd off without a second thought.
Barghouti is jailed for terrorism, including the murder of four Israelis and a Greek Monk.
Polanski is a danger.
BREAKING: Iranin official says the missiles attack on Israel this evening is a response to Israel attacking Hezbollah, its proxy, in Lebanon.
Confirming Hezbollah not a Lebanese terror group but an imperial Iranian proxy.
The ICJ has given South Africa until Nov 2027 to file a second round of written submissions, and Israel until May 2029 to submit a rejoinder. They know they can't convict Israel so they plan to keep kicking the case down the road for years for propaganda purposes. What a joke!
Israel has always been at war with varying states of intensity since its inception as a country. Always. Every generation of Israelis has lost some of their children for their national survival.
Since 1979, Iran has been an enemy. Since the early 2000s, it has been their main enemy. Everything happening since 7 October is linked to Iran. Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, Iraqi Popular Mobilisation Forces, all of it. The category error too many people make is looking at each front in isolation due to the obsession with Gaza.
Iran’s network has been severely weakened in one regional war since 7 October. That is why Hezbollah is Tehran’s red line. They are the jewel in the crown of Iran’s network.
Whilst Israel strikes Hezbollah in Lebanon, Iran will not negotiate a permanent ceasefire because it is all one conflict. Israel cannot stop striking Hezbollah, because Hezbollah keeps firing into N Israel and those communities cannot live in safety.
Therefore: either Trump secures concessions from Hezbollah not to fire at Israel, which will be linked to the US/Israel not firing at Iran, there is no way out of this. If the US escalates back to striking Iran directly, Iran will resume strikes on the Gulf states. This is a near impossible circle to close, and in the meantime, the world economy circles the drain as global oil prices skyrocket when reserves run out.
If Trump can only get a ceasefire by ordering Israel to stop strikes in Lebanon, then Jerusalem has an existential decision to make.
There is no good or easy way out of this, but if you don’t see Gaza, Lebanon and Iran as all linked for the last two years, you cannot understand the whole problem.
In a scary world, it's comforting to shout slogans, accuse and demonise, parade flags, wear merch, peddle alternative 'history' and feel holy.
This is Palestinianism.
In it you can see how Nazism developed.
But Israel exists today. For a reason.
What is so sick about this is the idea that the Jews who bought and paid for land at crazy prices, making some Arab families very, very rich, are the thieves...
instead of the colonising, immigrant invaders from Arabia WHO DO NOT COME FROM THE LEVANT.
@Mbakaza4L These villages were never on the map to begin with. Try to find an older version on Apple Maps with these villages on them. You won't find one.
Rosey, the famous Gazan influencer, planned to head to the beach in Gaza. Unfortunately, she wasn’t allowed to enter the sea even though she was already dressed modestly. The locals insisted she wear a full-body covering resembling a prayer dress that would also cover her head.
Later, poor Rosey found herself stuck outside one of Gaza’s typical “men-only” parties (thousands of well-fed men packed tightly together, dancing), forced to wait for a ride while eating shawarma.
This boycott bollox is a SM bubble our media are consumed by
The vast majority calling for it ARENT even from Ireland
& they had no problem Scotland playing Israel because it’s only in Ireland these lunatics are pandered to🤦🏻♂️
#ICYMI Israel struck Hezbollah targets in Beirut's Dahiyeh district after yet another round of Hezbollah ceasefire violations.
A reminder for those in the media who keep pretending otherwise:
Hezbollah has never actually honored the ceasefire that took effect on April 17.
In the first 24 days alone, Hezbollah violated it 220 times through rocket fire, drone attacks, and other hostile activity.
When Israel responds, it's called "escalation."
When Hezbollah violates the ceasefire hundreds of times, it's barely mentioned.
