What do i think? when Haisla explained LNG was good for First Nations/BC/Canada/world, We had no support cept for leaders along the pipeline. The reannouncement today affirmed what we said was on the money & the NDP/Fedgovt were wrong. Bitter sweet
"The CRA identified an issue affecting the validation processes for Haida Gwaii residents claiming northern residents deductions".
However, the reviews still must be completed.
If you are under review, please reach out to our office at [email protected] or 250-877-0037 and we would be happy to assist you in this process.
I'm coming to Stewart!
On October 14th at 6 PM, I'll be hosting a Town Hall with Mayor Angela Brand Danuser.
The Town Hall is your opportunity to meet with us directly, ask questions, and raise the issues that matter to you.
Earlier that day, stop by our Pop-Up Office from 12 PM to 4 PM for assistance with federal programs and services.
I'm very much looking forward to being back in Stewart. I hope to see you there!
Canadians need fuel to bring in the harvest and get to work. They cannot afford a government that waits for a shortage before making a plan.
Conservatives will fight to produce more Canadian energy, save Canadians money and restore the promise of an affordable, safe and independent country.
This distracts from the real issues Canadians are dealing with every day and only creates more division and fear.
I expect more from a first world country leader.
New Democrats call news conf to expose problem of Conservatives having interim leader. David Eby called an unnecessary election 48 hours after resignation of KLF, leaving Conservatives no choice but to appoint interim leader. Eby govt has no sense of fair play or shame.
As Skeena MLA, i was invited to witness citizens fighting forest fires.
It was heartbreaking
To use this as a political slogan is tasteless to say the least
When calling an election on Tuesday, David Eby repeatedly compared the current political situation to wildfire season. He thought he was being clever.
Five Canadians have died from these wildfires this year. They're not an opportunity to make "clever" jokes about, especially when Eby's province has been among the most impacted.
BC Conservative interim leader @LDoerkson says Eby should apologize. Do you agree?
Conservatives have been talking about axing fuel taxes long before I was elected to the House of Commons.
But how many times have we heard the Prime Minister claim that affordability in Canada is the best it has been in a decade?
If that's the case, why did the Liberal government put forward Bill C-38?
It's because affordability is getting worse, and Canadians are feeling it.
I welcome the Liberal government taking more ideas from Conservatives so that we can actually make Canada more affordable.
For 20 years, modern day treaty First Nations have documented where the federal government has fallen short on collaboration and cooperation.
Now, the Liberal government is offering another department to repeat the same recommendations, with no clear accountability.
This is still hard to believe this is in Canada. I spent a lot of time trying to understand racism in all it’s forms around the world and I thought WW2 events taught us how to be tolerant, at least in Canada. I hope this doesn’t end in tragedy
Confusion, gunshots during Yom Kippur service at Belleville synagogue.
'I yelled for everyone to get on the floor, to crouch right down,' said the synagogue's president https://t.co/ELioezqhcS
The new Pro-resource economy attitude is bitter sweet. On one hand it’s nice that what i’ve said for 20 years is now politically correct & on the other hand it’s sad it took 20 years for this “new” attitude to be politically correct
Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the blessing of the new Hagwil’ook Contracting Concrete Plant in the Nisga’a Village of Laxgalts’ap.
What they have accomplished is impressive. Bringing private sector investment and enterprise into a northern community is no easy task. I know firsthand how difficult it can be as I tried to accomplish something similar when I was Chief but failed.
This project shows that Laxgalts’ap is open for business, investment, and partnerships that can create real opportunities for the community and the north.
I envy what they have been able to accomplish, and I congratulate everyone involved in making this project a reality.
BVX in Smithers last weekend was a blast!
I am always impressed by how welcoming and friendly the Smithers community is. Thank you to all the volunteers who put in the time and effort to make this event possible every year.
It was also great to see so many people stop by my booth to say hello, share their concerns, and talk about the issues that matter to them.
Thank you, Smithers, for another great BVX!
A huge turnout at the Bulkley Valley Fall Fair Parade in Smithers last night!
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the parade possible, and a special shoutout to Vihar Construction for letting us use their truck!
While you’re at the fair, make sure to stop by my office’s booth in the mall. I’ll be there on Friday and Saturday and look forward to seeing many of you.
Enjoy the fair!
The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an Evacuation Alert for the Endako area between Tatin Lake & #BCHwy16 due to #BCWildfire (G41970). Residents in the area must be ready to leave on short notice. More info: https://t.co/ClkIssFqwg #BC
For years Conservatives have been calling for the EV mandate to be scrapped, and the Liberals are finally listening. But why did it take the Liberals so long to come to this conclusion when they could have supported our Conservative motion to scrap the EV mandate last year? Now, instead of simply ending the mandate, the Liberals are already preparing new tailpipe emissions standards designed to push an EV mandate through the back door”
🚨REMINDER🚨
My staff will be in Stewart on Saturday, August 8, hosting a Pop-Up Office at the Al Lawrence Memorial Arena from 10 AM to 4 PM.
This is an opportunity to meet with my staff, discuss any concerns you may have, and receive assistance with a variety of federal programs and services listed in the graphic.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend in person as I'll be in Granisle for Granisle Day, but I encourage everyone in the area to stop by and connect with my team.
The rain cleared just in time for Riverboat Days in Terrace on Saturday for the parade!
It was great to see such a fantastic turnout for the parade and so many people out celebrating together.
A big thank you to my volunteers for handing out candy, and to the organizers and everyone who worked hard to make this year’s Riverboat Days another great success.

It is clear that banning single-use plastics for groceries—especially for products like fresh meat—is simply not practical and would only lead to more food waste.
Will the Liberal government admit that banning single-use plastics for groceries is off the table?
