Introduced the "Crown Land and Financial Transparency Act" This bill will encourage more transparency around the transfer of crown land, tenures and interests in crown property. It passed at first reading!
Leadership, current knowledge, a place at the table, this is what our next leader of the @Conservative_BC must have! @PeterMilobar has all that plus decades of political experience! Knows the right questions to ask & as a sitting MLA is able to ask them live & in person‼️‼️
Five credit downgrades.
A $13.3 billion deficit.
And now the Finance Minister wants you to believe the NDP’s fiscal plan somehow puts us on a path to a balanced budget?
I don’t buy it.
The credit rating agencies don’t buy it.
And British Columbians don’t buy it either.
Even the Prime Minister has had enough.
Carney told Eby that if BC keeps stalling on energy development, Ottawa will take its investment to provinces that actually want to grow.
The NDP aren't just holding BC back.
They're holding the whole country back.

First day of voting in the Conservative Party of BC, leadership race!
Urging you to vote for Peter Milobar!
Experience in the legislature, understanding the needs of rural BC and…… a seat in the legislature!!
Today’s the first day to vote in the @Conservative_BC leadership race.
@PeterMilobar is one of the smartest people I know & he already has a seat in the legislature.
Peter is my #1 choice & I hope yours too.
David Eby promised to backstop mortgages after the Cowichan decision. So I asked the Finance Minister:
Where is it in the budget?
Turns out there’s no line item, no legislative approval, and taxpayers could still be on the hook.
British Columbians deserve straight answers.
Today, I was asked to leave the chamber after calling out the Premier for remarks I believe were false and misleading regarding my record and the record of members of our caucus on LNG development in Northern B.C.
For years, the Premier has attempted to claim that we do not support projects like LNG Canada, while at the same time trying to take credit for a project he actively opposed while in opposition. The people of the North remember who stood alongside our workers, local governments, Indigenous partners, and communities to fight for these opportunities when it mattered most.
I am proud of my record. As a Kitimat city councillor, I worked hard alongside many others to help get Phase 1 of LNG Canada to final investment decision. That project has created jobs, opportunity, and long-term economic benefits for our region and for British Columbia. The credit belongs to the many people who put in the hard work over many years to make it happen.
I will not sit quietly while the history of that work is rewritten for political convenience.
When the people of Skeena elected me, I promised to be a loud, strong, and unapologetic voice for our communities. That means standing up for our workers, our industries, and the truth, even when it is uncomfortable.
I will continue to do exactly that every single day, unapologetically.
The BC Conservatives debated the NDP’s bill to gut freedom of information (Bill 9) and make it harder for British Columbians to access information about their government. We kept going all night until 3 AM, when the NDP “forced closure” to end the debate at 3 AM and force the vote, we were just getting started and had hours more to say. The NDP shut down the debate. A party that wants to hide information from the public shouldn’t surprise anyone when they also silence any opposition. Freedom of information and open debate are the cornerstone of democracy. The NDP is attacking both.
Visited a log home construction site in Williams Lake yesterday with MLA @LDoerkson .
This is exactly what we need more of in British Columbia — using our natural resources to build homes for people and create good-paying jobs in our communities.
Like all of our natural resources, forestry can be a major benefit to British Columbians when government gets out of the way and supports our entrepreneurs, workers, and local industries.
Basically, the NDP thought they'd trick the Conservatives by giving them all night to debate FOI bill, expecting Conservatives would eventually give up. Instead, Conservatives dug in and it was the NDP who gave up, invoking closure at 4am.
I get it.
Being Premier would be a difficult job.
But come on.
Constantly being obstructionist for ideological purposes doesn’t get you a seat at the adult table.
Instead of complaining, it would be nice to see some shrewd negotiating to get prosperity back in BC.
Too many projects have left or pulled out early because this government provides zero certainty.

I’m Peter Milobar and I’m running to lead the BC Conservatives to win back British Columbia.
If you believe we can restore common sense, accountability, and opportunity in our province, I’m asking you to stand with me.

This is not what the NDP wanted to see today.
But it’s their making.
Safety, workload, benefits are all major issues from nurses that I hear regularly.
Nurses are tired of empty promises from this government.

Of course…
The Legislature will be closed for summer at the end of the month.
That way, they won’t have to face an onslaught from the opposition as to why their budget for the event will be a total disaster.
You can run from the @BCConservCaucus but you can’t hide NDP!

The NDP’s Bill 9 makes it harder for British Columbians to access records from their own government.
Less transparency. Less accountability. More power concentrated behind closed doors.
That is why the BC Conservatives introduced a hoist motion to suspend this bill for six months and allow for greater consultation.
If this government wants to force Bill 9 through in the dark, we are prepared to debate it for as long as it takes.
Great week in the legislative assembly! On Thursday I had the privilege of showing my nephews friends around - Corin & Marcus.
They got to meet the Speaker @BCLegSpeaker and the Assistant Deputy Speaker @LDoerkson
They got loaded up with swag too!
I think they were pretty happy with their tours!
