We loved an extra opportunity to develop our letter formation and writing of high frequency words in the frost this morning. We were amazed at how, ‘the frost disappears when the water touches it.’ ❄️ ✍️
We collaborated so well to show what we already know about a castle. We are looking forward to learning all about them and then critiquing our design to improve it #EllistonUTW
FS1 children at Ellison Academy are now part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program! This comes with with huge thanks to #orsteduk for their support and generosity in funding the project and #cleethorpesrotary for your all help getting us on board!
Children have enjoyed learning about trains and journeys this week. They have read The Train Ride and it has generated a lot of discussion. They have been fascinated to learn about their own local train station! They are now busy making their own red train 🚂#JuneCrebbin
Yesterday we planted magic beans as we loved Jack and the Beanstalk so much when we read it in @MonsterPhonics. Look what grew overnight? The giant is going to be so busy replying to all these letters we have wrote to him today!
Such a magical morning with Rodney Reindeer, made even more special when a child pulled out his letter to Santa from his pocket to hand deliver to him, without anybody knowing he had one 🎅💜
Thank you Mrs Patterson! We had a great time at the cinema and for many of us it was our first experience here. The children’s manners were noted by the coach driver and they behaved brilliantly during the film 👏
How about an Elfie Selfie? Thank you @TechElliston for teaching us how to use the camera app, manipulate and retrieve an image on an iPad because now we don’t need any help from our Teachers to take a photo of each other #EllistionUTW 🎅🏻🎄
We were so excited to decorate the tree on Friday. We discussed all the Christmas related vocabulary we already know, and wrote the words on the baubles. We are looking forward to adding to it as we learn more words 🎄
We LOVE seeing what you having been doing at home FS2. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us, it’s great to talk about them with you in school 🎅🏻 #EllistonCL
Children in FS2 enjoyed exploring coding programme Scratch during ICT today, particularly editing their sprite to include a photo of themselves! #EllistonICT@TechElliston
These children found it hilarious building these Crazy Creatures. They had a great time using their imagination and improving their fine motor skills #EllistionEAD
We know what it takes to be a good friend! Children were linked together by a paper chain to test how long they could stay together. This was a little experiment as part of Anti-Bullying Week to see which friends could last the longest #EllistionPSED#AntiBullyingWeek
Children were challenged to spend the afternoon connected to a friend they don’t always choose to play with. They had to share, support and communicate with each other in order to keep their paper bracelets in 1 piece #EllistonPSED#friendshipweek
