Lynx class continued to develop their understanding of features of a diary today. They also applied key knowledge from this weeks grammar lessons such as adverbs and contractions into their planned content ✏️⭐️
Lynx class became gardeners this week as they began to plant their daffodil bulbs. They began by dissecting a bulb and began to compare it to two different types of seeds- Cress and Sunflower seeds. The children will now begin to observe the changes in their plants over time 🌱⭐️
Children in Lynx class have been exploring the 'ue' grapheme this week in their Monster Phonics sessions. They read both real and non-real words to build up their fluency before creating their own words using their sound cards. Miss Macdonald is so impressed with their progress⭐️
Lynx class became feature detectives this morning as they explored the features of an informal letter 🕵️♀️ They then began to critique the letters of others to see how well they had used the features and how they could further improve ✏️⭐️
Lynx class have enjoyed taking part in KS1 RE day today as they’ve learnt all about advent as part of the Christian faith and their celebrations in the lead up to the birth of Jesus 🎄💭⭐️
Another great lesson of RE today as the children continued to learn about how different faiths celebrate the birth of a baby. Today Lynx class made promises that would be part of a Christian baptism ⭐️
