Four high-level sources in Turkey and three members of Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Mohammed Dbeibeh’s extended family have confirmed to Washington Eye that the Libyan premier personally oversaw the transfer of over $400 million to Turkey over the past week. The transfers were executed via Libya Airlines on a near daily basis exploiting state infrastructure to move cash out of a country crippled by unrest and economic collapse.
This is not speculation. This is an operation executed under direct family supervision.

How It Worked: Family Flights and Funds
According to sources within Libya Airlines and Turkish customs who requested anonymity for their safety the money was broken down into shipments carried by Dbeibeh’s nephews cousins and trusted aides. “These weren’t symbolic transfers” one Turkish official stated. “This was laundering on a national scale. Each plane carried millions.”
The timing of the transfers coincides with Libya’s political implosion following the recent killing of militia commander Abdel Ghani al Kikli triggering deadly protests in Tripoli and nationwide calls for Dbeibeh’s removal. As citizens bury their dead their prime minister is emptying the vaults.

Luxury Loot: Tripoli’s Wealth Reassigned
In parallel with the cash exodus Dbeibeh has reallocated dozens of high end villas farms and land plots in Tripoli’s elite neighborhoods Hay Al Andalus and Siyahiya to relatives. One confirmed transfer includes a $9 million villa on Omar Al Mukhtar Street now in the name of his brother in law.

Muslim Brotherhood Ties and Democrat Channels
Dbeibeh’s financial maneuvering is shielded by his long standing ties to the Muslim Brotherhood particularly the Libyan Justice and Construction Party. His ideological backing has gained him quiet tolerance from some progressive US and European officials especially those who supported “inclusive Islamist governance” during the post Arab Spring transitions.
Diplomats close to Dbeibeh in Ankara confirmed to Washington Eye that elements within US Democratic aligned NGOs continued informal engagement with his office up until this month. “They thought he was a stabilizing force” said one source. “Now they realize he’s a well dressed thief with a flag.”

Libya Burns While the Bankers Board Planes
While thousands of Libyans take to the streets chanting for justice Dbeibeh's loyalists are busy boarding flights bags packed with the future of Libya. As of this week #Libya Airlines Flight LN203 has been suspended from Istanbul amid Turkish internal reviews and pressure from European intelligence.

One Arab diplomat based in Rome told Washington Eye:
“This is not governance. This is organized pillage. And the people of Libya know it.”
More revelations are expected in the coming days as the paper trail widens. But the message is already clear: #Dbeibeh didn’t flee the country he’s fleecing it one flight at a time.
