People have asked for an update on my LG Washing Machine saga.

I'm happy to announce that for the last month of monitoring and analysis, the data usage by my washing machine has gone back to normal.

The LG Engineering team has been a tremendous help in helping to debug this both on my end and on their end. We have hopped on a couple of calls to root cause the rogue traffic. I've have captured and analyzed WireShark data and all traffic seems expected and usual. It's not clear what was the original cause of the high traffic volume.

As the many things and appliances in our lives become more internet connected, it's more important to monitor the data usage of these appliances and installing them securely.

Thanks for all of the humorous replies and comments. Hopefully, I won't be sharing too much of my dirty laundry in the future. 😆
