Over the last week, I have been actively engaged in a series of hands-on technical sessions with over 100 students of Bayero University Kano, providing practical guidance on the use of the INEC voter registration portal, the e-voter card platform, troubleshooting common challenges, and the various procedures involved in completing the registration process successfully.

At a time when many people believe patriotism is only about criticizing, insulting, or attacking leaders on social media, we must remind ourselves that national development is driven by action, contribution, and responsibility. Real patriotism is not noise, it is service.

The question I always ask is: What have you done to positively impact your immediate environment? What value have you added to your family, your community, your circle of friends, or your society? Before demanding change from others, we must also be willing to contribute to the change we desire.

For me, helping young people understand and access the voter registration system is one small way of contributing to our democracy. We may not all hold public office, but each of us has a role to play in building a better society through meaningful actions, not just words.

Important clarification please!

In the ongoing Saleem Goje saga, Hafsat shared screenshots of chats with some women, including one handle Ummeetahx (with the extra h and x).

Many people are mistakenly thinking it is our own ummeetaa_x because of the similar name and somehow she is more popular than this Ummeetahx. Our sister is @ummeetaa_x (with underscore and without h), she is a lawyer, a chef and Founder of BlueCafe and Blue Interiors. She is a successful entrepreneur, happily married with kids, and has nothing to do with this.

This is NOT her. The screenshot clearly shows Ummeetahx, a different person with a different username.

She has no connection whatsoever to this matter.

Let us fear Allah, verify facts before sharing, and stop dragging innocent people and families into fitnah.

May Allah protect all marriages and families from every evil. Ameen.
