I was genuinely SHOCKED by this conversation. I was at the pro-choice rally and I saw her watching, so I thought I'd ask her if she was also pro-abortion.
The conversation quickly took a very dark turn. I thought she must've misheard me, so I repeated it several times to make sure she understood what I was asking.....

A very small turnout for the pro-abortion rally. This group gathered to (supposedly) protest the bill currently in parliament that would restrict abortion from 25 weeks onwards. But, when I interviewed protesters, it seemed that many people had no idea why they were there. Y They hadn't heard of the bill and were unaware of the current abortion legislation (abortion up-to-birth).
They were there for 'women's rights,' or to 'protest fascism' or to 'silence the bigots.
These people are so confused. It's sad to see.

The thing is that abortion slogans, like “My body my choice” and “It isn't human,” sound absurd when said along side the image of a baby in utero.

A picture speaks louder than words. No abortion rhetoric will ever sound reasonable or true when said over the top of victim imagery.
