Meet the Late Stella Awinja - the only student in Kenya who had University Of Nairobi hostel named after her.
Stella was a third-year engineering student at the University of Nairobi. She died when a rock fell on her while walking on the sidewalk during the construction of Lilian Towers.
During her graduation, her parents stood that December when her name was called out and they received an aegrotat degree on her behalf. An aegrotat is awarded to a student who does not finish studies, but whom the faculty believes would have passed nevertheless.
Six years after her death, a request was made to rename what is now Hall 12 in her memory.
Resolutions of the INNOVATIVE FINANCING, PPPS & GREEN BONDS for NRW reduction Sub theme
Non Revenue Water is an investment agenda — not a series of short-term fixes.
a) NRW reduction requires structured, long-term financing rather than fragmented short-term interventions,
b) Utilities must improve bankability: demonstrating feasibility, creditworthiness, operational discipline and credible revenue streams that support repayment and investor confidence.
c) Retention and ring-fencing of utility revenues is critical - funds generated by service providers must support operations, maintenance, network renewal and strategic expansion.
d) PPPs and results-based management contracts bring private-sector technology, efficiency and financing — provided roles, risks and performance indicators are clearly defined.
e) Actively pursue climate and green financing - NRW reduction saves water, lowers pumping energy, reduces emissions and strengthens climate resilience.

One thing about kujituma and having a great work ethic is that the universe has no choice but to respect the effort. So things will fall into place, it’s only a matter of time ✨

There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️

the blue flame is what u want, what everyone wants. it means the gas is getting enough oxygen so it burns clean and efficiently. it comes from complete combustion which produces heat, carbon dioxide and water vapor... hotter, safer and better for cooking.
the yellow/orange flame is a warning sign. it means incomplete combustion maybe cos the burner is dirty or airflow is blocked. that color can produce carbonmonoxide which is very dangerous for your health. it also wastes energy and gives you bad heat.
