One of the big MYTHS in our culture is that sports inherently build character. Wrong.

In reality, without a coach who actively teaches and models character, organized sports can actually spoil play and hinder character development.

It takes a coach that is willing to lead by example, teach from the front and hold themselves accountable before they can expect their athletes to grow and mature.
