Day 8/60: I tested SO MANY metronome apps today. Your competitors are free user research.
It doesn't mean you have to copy all their features. The interesting part is not what everyone does. It’s what everyone tolerates.
#shipaton#buildinpublic
im even more confused, which one do you prefer? Sol or Luna? i cannot decide.
Still preferring Sol but is very expensive to run and not even mentioning terra, they just killed that middle weird bastard
Day 7/60 #shipaton I want to make apps for musicians, i'm starting with the basics, a Metronome, but I different one🎵#buildinpublic i know pretty generic so far but "just you wait"

@juandadotdev its supershitty right now but if you wanna try it you can check it on https://t.co/K8s3rwsSac i added a weird AI experimental feature you just need an openrouter api key to user free models (set a $1 dollar limit just in case)
Day 5/60 #shipaton: a little side quest today. I built my own dark theme chrome extension i added a “magic edit” ✨ feature that lets you fix any element when the theme doesn’t get it quite right #buildinpublic
Still a WIP, will publish soon
“Anyone can build an app now,” sure. What worries me is people thinking good software is easy to make
AI didn’t magically give everyone product sense. Months of work can seem to people like I just typed “make me an app, no mistakes,” ignoring what is really involved.
Day 6/60 #shipaton today wasn't a really good day, I want to show some work by the end of the week, all I can say is that my project would be related to music 🎵#buildinpublic
showing the real day-to-day, not just the wins, see ya tomorrow ✌️
Day 4/60: setting up my dev environment (codex & xcode 🤫) and my apple developer account thing.
did you know there's a Small Business Program you can enroll to get reduced commission rate of 15% on paid apps and In-App Purchases instead of 30%? #shipaton
Apple Music might have the worst UX of any major streaming app. I just found you can pay $15 for a song who the hell still does that? btw that popularity bar is nowhere else in the UI, what a shame
