Over the last several months, I've been working towards unifying the text rendering engine (datasource + views) for Elytra on both #iOS and #macOS. The macOS v2025.9 release came with this first, and now the upcoming v2026.7 release for #iOS brings the same performance upgrades
In the first week of May, I met some press folks and showcased and discussed my app @pockityapp with them, all coordinated by Apple PR and DR team from India.

Swift isn't just for client apps: when Elytra moved from Node to Swift for their server code, they benefited from better performance and a unified codebase. More here: https://t.co/JYhMSH12Bq
Around Build 480 of Elytra, support for macOS 12 (Monterey) was accidentally removed.
This has been reinstated. A fixed build is on it’s way on TestFlight as v2023.1.1 for both iOS and macOS containing other critical bug fixes.
