Hello! @MentalHealthAm
I am a student at Wilfrid Laurier University and I am interested in understanding more about an individual’s use of social media and the negative effects it has on their mental health. If possible, please comment on this relationship. Thank you!
Hello! @MHCC_
I am a student at Wilfrid Laurier University and I am interested in understanding more about how an individual’s use of social media negatively impacts their mental health. Is there a specific reason why this occurs? As young adults, how can we resolve this?

I've always grown up a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and I love being able to see highlights of the game whenever I'm on Twitter! What a nice power play goal by JT! #EM203Robin#EM203Research
https://t.co/egjBgaFm39 This article talks about obesity in physical activity in children which is a really big problem that is continuing to get worse. This article gives advice on how we can promote physical activity to decrease obesity incidents. #EM203Research
The problem I have identified is the negative relationship between an individual’s use of social media and the effects it has on their mental health. https://t.co/EXn1gJTNIG
In society, female sports are typically seen as “uninteresting” and do not receive enough media coverage for their sport. So, this is amazing to see that a female team is getting the attention and interest they deserve. I hope this continues to happen!!
In today’s society, it is so easy to wake up with a negative mindset and to wake up feeling anxious and unhappy. I love this quote because it reminds me to change my mindset and to find different ways to stay positive because I deserve to be happy in this life. #EM203Robin
@Em203AWilliams I appreciate this online class as well! I believe that the content is much easier to understand because it is done in a creative and interesting manner. It's also very relatable to our personal lives.
@EM203rwhite Hey Rachel, i definitely agree with you! This class has also allowed me to use the content we’ve learned and apply it to real life. Something that is really nice about this course is that it is engaging and relevant to our society today.
@EM203Lacquaniti Hey Victoria, I definitely agree with you and that online courses are great so we can work at our own pace. Sometimes in person classes become very overwhelming so online courses are nice as we get to determine when we want to do it and we don’t have to do it all at once!
@EM203AWalker Hey Anna! We both have something in common, Im terrible at multi-tasking too! I am hoping to improve this, maybe we can both make it as one of our goals for 2023!
@EM203RThomson Hey Ryan! I find it very important to understand the sense of connectivity between people and the importance of online communication as that is our main source to learn from, interact and connect with others in our society today!
@EM203RGallant Hi Rebecca! I agree that the emphasis on creativity is really nice and breaks up typical study methods. Typically study methods consist of reading textbooks or notes and it is hard to stay engaged with the material. In Em203, the learn by doing concept keeps things interesting!
So far I have really enjoyed the lessons in EM203! I find that the activities in this class help me understand the content more and I appreciate this online class as I can take as much time as needed to fully understand what is being taught! #EM203ROBIN
