Hello @HSEschoolsteam I am doing a university assignement on how detrimental and common sedentary behaviours are in all ages across North America. Is there any supporting evidence you can provide to reiterate this issue upon how important it is to stay active?

The last stretch of the school year can be mentally taxing on university students as exam season approaches. Lets remember to prioritize our mental health as well as making sure we get some fresh air each day. Hoping everyone stays safe and positive during these times #EM203Robin
Physical activity can be anything from dog walking to taking a spin class at a gym, either way getting your body moving provides both physiological and psychological benefits, helping reduce sedentariness. Check out the photo to see the benefits of each type of physical training

Having a sedentary lifestyle is more common than we think. It leads to adverse health issues like CVD or diabetes. 1 in 4 Canadians suffer from a chronic illness and the #'rs will keep rising if we don't take action.

Why don't we ever hear anything about flu cases anymore? Influenza does not just disappear because Covid is around... Often times there are improper Covid-19 tests recorded, makes me wonder if these two topics are related #EM203Robin#EM203Research
@EM203logantoldi Remote learning has hindered the use of IEP's as teachers have so much on their plate already. This makes it hard for the educators to implement the online version of the students IEP, which ultimately does a disfavour to the students learning #EM203problems
@EM203LRizzo The chronic condition of obesity is a controllable problem that can be mitigated in many ways. Starting with educating students from young about the importance of physical activity for life, is helpful in creating healthy habits #EM203problems
@JacklinHunter Lack of technology accessibility, especially in this pandemic has been a huge issue for many students. Not every parent has the funds readily available to provide their child with supplies like a laptop or even internet Gbs to support their learning #EM203problems
@Em203Dbrady the people whom you chose to associate yourself with can often be an issue affecting your health in terms of your diet and habits. Ex. if you have a family that is continuously eating unhealthy or friends who peer pressure you into drugs & alcohol. #EM203problems
@EM203EHazzard Hi Emily, I like the fact that you brought up the Covid factor, it is so true that a digital course during these times is fitting and I believe the delivery of this course suits the digital age, especially how the internet opens us up to a whole new world of learning!
@EM203logantoldi Hi Logan, I have learned so much in the past 4 weeks and this weeks lesson opened my eyes in terms of much time children spend on social media and how children are given access to technology at much younger ages. We have to ask ourselves if this is debilitating or facilitating?
@EM203massarotto Hi Gabe, the many learning styles out there are very unique and I would love to learn more about behaviourism or connectivism as my topic was constructivism. I cant wait to expand my knowledge through this course and see what the digital age entails!
@em203hlake Hi Holly, the digital age is so interesting and I want to become more educated upon how digital literacy can help our learning thrive in our digitally oriented 21st century. I am excited to apply the theories we've learned and engage with the class further!
@EM203LRizzo Hi Lauren, learning about constructivism was interesting and I truly love how the course exposes us to the digital world around us through the use of videos, TED talks, activities, etc. I cant wait to build upon topics like constructivism and learn much more!
