@Em203Telfer Hi Jordan,
1. We all need to talk about climate change a lot more, make it part of our daily conversations and a significant part of our decision making
2. Vote for politicians who will make reducing greenhouse gases a priority
3. Tax polluters the true cost of their products
Hey @PaulEDawson, I enjoy reading your tweets and evidence about the seriousness of the climate crisis and changes to reduce emissions. I was wondering what you believe are the immediate steps we should take to combat the crisis before we hit an ultimate tipping point. Thanks!
I have also created an infographic to spread the news about climate change that outlines the solutions individuals can incorporate into their daily lives to help make a difference! https://t.co/AdwAk6o66T
This semester, I have been researching the effects of climate change and worked towards improving awareness about solutions. I created a presentation to spread the news about climate change and would like to share some solutions that everyone can use! https://t.co/2UFqmTKJPq
Through my research on climate change, it has become apparent that the biggest contributor is the constant rise of carbon dioxide. One effective way to help prevent this problem from an individual level is the purchase and use of eco-friendly vehicles. #EM203Robin#EM203Research
While researching the detrimental effects of climate change and contributing factors, one promising solution is the idea of carbon offsetting. Although this should not be considered a front-line defense, it is definitely a tactic that should be utilized #EM203Robin#EM203Research
While researching effective ways to reduce carbon emissions, I found a large amount of information at https://t.co/z7Y3ZNq4Ly about the top 20 ways that we can reduce our carbon footprint in order to limit greenhouse gases and environmental temperatures #EM203Research
Awesome concept map @EM203alexzawora, I think exploring the impact of corporations on the environment is a very important topic. One specific problem you could address is the impact that the Oil & Gas industry has on the environment and how it could be reduced #EM203Problems
Great concept map @pkurlandEM203, I think exploring social issues is a very important topic. One specific problem that you could address is how social issues could disproportionately affect indigenous communities within Canada and how they could be eliminated #EM203Problems
Great concept map @EM203NMcCurbin, I think focusing on obesity in North America is a very important topic. One problem that you could address is the lack of fitness centers in rural/low population parts of NA and how that could affect one's ability to stay active. #EM203Problems
@OwenSmithem203 Hey Owen! I agree with you that it is very exciting to see research going into these learning techniques as I think they are very effective for a wide range of learning environments and can easily be used to spread important topics and information to a wide range of individuals.
@nicolegrossman6 Glad to hear you are enjoying the course so far Nicole, I have also really liked the topics we've covered so far! I agree with you that multitasking is not as effective when trying to learn as I also found it more difficult to remember the listed words while being distracted.
@EM203bvitello Hey Brad, glad to hear you are enjoying to course! I too have enjoyed learning about different approaches as they have made me aware of the different ways that people are able to learn as well as the importance of utilizing media when portraying important topics and messages.
