@EmCassidyMD telling us an incredible story on the power of data. With it she has transformed her program, created opportunities to build her team, grow volume, bring in $, & acquire new technology in Ion that has allowed her to save lives by intervening on lung cancer earlier.
@alisamae Thanks so much, @alisamae! Your talk at #widvs2023 was so inspirational. As female surgeons, we tend to be so fiercely independent (nature vs nurture?). But you hit the nail on the head - we’re stronger when we work together! Lesson learned 💪
Today is Day 1 of Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2022 (#LCAM22). Fact: Did you know that #LungCancer causes more deaths globally than colon, breast, & prostate cancers combined? #LCSM
@kathygriffin Hey Kathy, I’m a thoracic surgeon in Louisiana. Although the final impression at the bottom of the read suggests no recurrence, you really need a doc to look at the images and make a comparison to your prior CT. Hopefully all is well!
@ololhealth What an accomplishment - first 100 cases with a 90% diagnostic yield!!! I’m honored to work alongside this amazing group. @IntuitiveSurg#lungcancer
"Really, the only answer is vaccination, and it needs to happen today, it needs to happen tomorrow and through the weekend and as fast as we can so that we can undo that gridlock in several weeks." -Dr. Catherine O'Neal, chief medical officer, Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center
Dr. O’Neal setting us straight! Even if you’re not worried about Covid, if want healthcare for you & your family in LA, help stop the spread. I have no ulterior motives - just want to care for my cancer patients and soon won’t be able to…💔

200. That’s the new record set today @ololhealth for #COVID19 patients in our care. We admitted 36 COVID+ patients in the last 24 hours (another record). Louisiana, we need your help. Please get vaccinated.
On July 12 we admitted 5 COVID+ patients over 24 hours and had a total of 32 in our care @ololhealth. Yesterday, we admitted 30 COVID+ patients and have 189 in our care. Anyone who tells you things are getting better hasn't talked to their local hospital lately. #lalege#lagov
As of today,
there are more Americans fully vaccinated than there are Americans who are not
I know we have a lot of work to do to get more people the shot
But its worth celebrating this milestone
