For the record, the correct way to collect the gender of your customers is don't, unless you have a specific medical reason for needing to know, and if you have a medical reason you need way more than just binary gender.
@RobotHugsComic Hi there! Queer trans dev here. My agency specializes in WordPress, and one of our clients runs a webcomic. I’d love to work with you, Robot Hugs has been a useful & friendly place for me to visit for years. (I link to your Pronoun Etiquette comic all the time!)
I am delighted to announce that my colleague Christine Winckler and I have teamed up to create Steady Pixel, a web agency serving small businesses and nonprofits. Check us out! https://t.co/rQ4hbgiP55
Okay so I know this is probably just confirmation bias but I’ve recently heard multiple stories of machines doing important work and handling sensitive data and they’re STILL RUNNING WIN XP. This really matters because they stopped!! Providing security updates!! In 2014!!
I sincerely, devoutly hope that the businesses running these inherently at-risk machines have IT staff that can run manual updates. In case you happen to be or know someone in that position, pass it on. It’s been months but they might not know. https://t.co/mKlgGItv1y
The Dealing with Problem Clients by Nathan Ingram talk had just enough stuff in it that I already figured out that I could trust that the new stuff was useful. I’m pretty excited to put some new systems into place that should make both me AND my clients happier.
Guess what! I’m at a conference and that means I’m going to tweet like four times and then disappear again! Having fun nerding out with people at WordCamp Seattle today.

My #CrossingsCon mission: making terrible enough puns to elicit cries of anguish from the Guests of Honour (and also the rest of the audience). Goal in life: ACHIEVED.
This hotel/mall complex was obviously designed by a puzzle game developer. None of the elevators/escalators/stairs go to All parts of all floors and they can all be blocked off from each other if you don’t have the right tools. #crossingscon2019
@CrossingsCon Hellohello! I'm wondering when I can pick up my badge etc? "Registration" just tells me about purchasing, and the Events schedule doesn't have anything listed...?
